ORDINANCE NO. 2799
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
AMENDING SECTION 8-715 OF TITLE VIII (HEALTH
AND SANITATION) OF ORDINANCE NO. I628 ENTITLED
"CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF RENTON"
RELATING TO CERTAIN SPECIAL RATES FOR SEWER
CHARGES FOR QUALIFIED SENIOR CITIZENS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: Section 8-715- as amended: SEWER CHARGES;
SPECIAL RATES: of Title VIII (Health and Sanitation) of Ordinance
No. 1628 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton"
is hereby amended to read as follows :
(A)
Section 8-715/ - as amended;
(A) The monthly rates and charges for sewage disposal service
shall be as follows, except for the special rates applicable to
certain qualified senior citizens as set forth in Section 3-231 of
Title III (Departments) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of
General Ordinances of the City of Renton': :
Single family dwelling units $1.00 per month
Multiple dwelling units up to and including
5-plexes (five dwelling units located on one
parcel of property, under the same ownership) $1.00 per unit,
per month
Other multiple dwelling units in excess of
five and all business and comercial
properties 50% of inetered
water charge
Service for users not connected to the City
water system shall be charged at a rate
fixed by the City Superintendent of Utilities
subject to approval by the City Council.
Section 8-715 (D) : as amended:
(D) In addition to the foregoing charges specified in this
Section, the following rates sha11 be charged:
l. A charge of two dollars seventy five cents ($2.75) ,
per month payable to "Metro" for each single family i
dwelling unit.
2, A charge of two dollars seventy five cents ($2.75)
per month payable to "Metro" for each nine hundred

(900) �cubic feet of water used by apartments, multiple
dwelling units of every type and number, business,
commercial, industrial and all othex users.
Provided, however, that the aforestated "Metro" charges shall also
apply and be payable by all senior citizens, although otherwise
qualified for special rates, under the provisions of Section 3-231
of Title III (Departments) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of
General Ordinances of the City of Renton" , and said Section is
hereby incorporated herein as if fully set forth, as same relates to
such special rates.
SECTION III : Any and all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION IV: This Ordinance shall be effective upon its passage,
approval and five days after its publication, unless otherwise provided
for hereinabove.
