ORDINANCE N0. 2896
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
AMENDING SECTION 8-309 (D) OF TITLE VIII CHEALTH
AND SANITATION) OF ORDINANCE N0. 1628 ENTITLED
"CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF RENTONrr
RELATING TO THE COLLECTION, DISPOSITION AND RATES
OF CERTAIN INDUSTRIAL WASTES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : The existing � Exhibit "A"'° and S;upplement to
Exhibit "A" of Section 8-309 (D) of Title VIII (Health and Sanitation)
of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of General Ordi.nances of the
City of Renton" are hereby amended to read as follows : �
EXHIBIT "A" as amended :
The belowspecified rates and conditions are based on quantities
of "Industrial Wastes" of at least 65 ,000 yards per year or
more of loose measure or equivalent in combination of loose
and compacted waste. Dumping fees under Items 1 and 3_ below
are paid for by the manufacturer separately and are not
included in said rates :
l. Forty-yard load of loose , industrial waste , whether in
Contractor' s or Customer' s containers , exclusive of
"Dumping fee" at Disposal Facility : $28 . 00 per

2 . All loose industrial waste hauled in other than
Contractor' s or Customer' s forty-yard containers ,
including the "Dumping Fee" at Disposal Facility ,
but in the event the existing Dumping Fee is
modified or revised, the hereinafter specified
rate will be modified accordingly: $1. 10 per
� cubic yard
I 3 . Compacted industrial waste in customer-furnished
containers , exclusive of "Dumping Fee" at Disposal
Facility: $28 . 15 per

4. The rates as specified above are based on the
"by-products" (industrial wastes) of such qualifying
manufacturing concerns but shall exclude any material
or substance containing wet styrofoam or like
materials that have a tendency or affinity to stick or
"gum up" containers ; such qualifying manufacturing
concerns must furnish , at their own expease , compaction
containers consisting in size of thirty (30 ) yards
or more and not less than eighteen C18) of such
� containers ; all of such containers and collection
points shall be easily accessible to collector' s
vehicles without obstructi.on or impediment to such
vehicles for :'_loading and/or unloading purposes .

5 . All of such containers shall at all times be maintained I
in a good and serviceable condition; damaged units shall
be promptly replaced by the party owning such contained I
and no industrial waste shall be placed therein that
would damage or "jam up" such container when same is
unloaded.
SUPPLEMENT TO EXHIBIT "A" - as amended
Ca) The below specified rates and conditions are based on quantities of
industrial waste of at least forty five thousand C45 ,000 ) yards
per annum but less than sixty five thousand (65 ,000) yards per annum
of loose measure or equivalent in combination of loose and compacted
waste. Dumping fees under Items 1 and 3 below are paid for by the
manufacturer separately and shall not be included in said rates :
l. Forty-yard load of loose , industrial waste , ,
whether in Contractor' s or Customer' s containers ,
exclusive of "Dumping Fee" at Disposal Facility : $28 . 00 per II

5 . The rates as specified above are based on the by-products
(industrial waste) of such qualifying manufacturing
concerns , but shall exclude any material or substance
� which would damage or destroy contractor' s containers ;
such containers and collection points shall be easily
accessible to contractor' s vehicles without obstruction
or impediment to such vehicles for loading and/or
unloading purposes .
6 . . Al1 of such cont�ners shall at all times be maintained
� in a good and serviceable condition; damaged units shall
be promptly replaced by the party owning such container,
and no industrial waste shall be placed therein that

yards per annum, but less than forty five thousand (45 ,p�0) yards
per annum, of loose measure or equivalent in combination of loose
and compacted waste . Dumping fees under ztems 1 and 3 are paid
for by the manufacturer separately and sha.11 not be included in
said rates :
l. Forty-yard load of loose , industrial waste ,
whether in Contractor' s or Customer' s containers ,
exclusive of `.'Dumping Fee" at Disposal Facility: $31. 00 per
forty yard load
2 . All loose industrial waste hauled in other than
Contractor' s or Customer' s forty-yard containers ,
including the "Dumping Fee" at Disposal Facility ,
but in the everi't the existing Dumping Fee is
modified or revised , the belowspecified rate
will be modified accordingly : $1. 30 per
cubic yard
3 . Compacted industrial waste in customer-furnished
containers , exclusive of "Dumping Fee" at
Disposal Facili�y-: $28 . 15 per loa

including "Dumping Fee" for sand tubs : $3 . 75 per
cubin yard

Cc) Rates for all industrial concerns not falling in Categories "Exhibit A" ,
and "Supplement to Exhibit A" as hereinabove set forth shall be as i
specified in subparagraph CB) 3 of Section 8-309 hereinabove.

SECTION II : Any ordinance or parts of ordinance in conflict
� herec�ith are hereby repealede
SECTION III ; This Ordinance shall be efferctive from and
� after its passage , approval and five C5 ) days after its legal
publication.
