WHEREAS it is to the best interest of and for tttie benefit of the City of
Renton and its inhabitanta that tha Fire DeQartment enter into Mutual Aid and Assist»
gnce Agreements with other Fire Departments and Districts contiguous to, adjoining
or within the iQmnediate vicinity of the City �f Rentoa, and
WHEREAS the Mayor and City Couneil have heretofore reviewed and atudied such
Mutual Aid Agreements and finding saa4e in proper order, 1�IOW THEREFORE
BE IT RBSOLVED $Y TH8 MAY�pR AND 14� CIZY ODUNCIL OF THE CIZY OP R8N10N AS
PU LLaW3:
3ECTION I: The aforesaid reeitals are herebq found to be true and eorra�t
in all reapecta. it is 8dvisable and in the be�t public interest to auga��nt and im»
prove upon the fire protection now availa ble in Lhe City of Renton and its iamediste
environs by entering into proper Mutual Aid and Assietance Agreements with otbsr Fire
Departments of adjoining Muni�ipalities and Fire Protection Distrieta.
3BCTION II: The Chief of the Fise Deptrtment of the City o� Renton is hereby
authorized and directed, together with the Mayor and the City Clerk, to enter into
and exe�aute a "Mutual Fire Fighting Asaistance Agreement" with the City o� Bellavue.
