OR ORDINANCE N0. 1628 ENTI.TLED "CODE OP GENERAL ORDINANCES'
OF THE CITY. OF RENTON" RELATING: TO MISCELLANEOUS FEES
UNDER. THE CITY' S ENVIRONMENTAL ORDINANCE
THE CITY. COUNCIL OF THE CITY. OF RENTON, WASHING.TON, DO
ORDAIN AS �'OLLOWS:
(A)
SECTION I: Existing Section 4-2814/of Title IV (Building
Regulations of Ordinance No. 1628 erititled "Code of General Ordinances
of the City of Renton" is hereby amended to.read as follows :
Section 4-2814 .(A) , as amended: FEES:
(A. ) Thresho.ld Determination. For every threshold determin-
ation to be performed by. the City when the City is the lead agency, �
a fee based upon the value of the proposal shall be charged the
applicant as follows:
tl) Value of proposal less than $10 ,000 . 00 - $5 . 00
(2) Value of proposal greater than $10, 000 . 00 -
$10 . 00 'plus $I. 00 for �.�each $10 ,000 . 00 value.
This fee shall be collected prior to undertaking the .threshold determin-
ation, and the time .periods grovided by thi:s Ordinance for making a
threshold determination shall not begin until payment of tk�e. fee.
This fee shall be collected for each .check list submitted for revised or
modi�ied proposals . Those proposals which include lands covered by
water and environmentally sensitive areas shall pay a fee at a rate of
one and one-half (1 1/2) times the above fee. Those proposals which
� do not include the construction of structures , movement of ear�Yi,; removal
of trees and similar actions that do not physically change or modify
land which shall include, but is not limited to rezones, open space
applications and annexations , shall be exempt from the fee . Should the �
applicant indicate in writing at the time of subm:ission of the I
environmerital check list form that an EIS is necessary in his opinion

and the Department making the threshold determinati.on concurs, the fee I
shall be applied to the cost of preparing an ffS as required below, provided
a declaration of significance can be made from solely the original �
data submitted on the environmerital check list form �no additional �
information is requested) .
In addition to. the above specified fee for a threshold
determination, the following fees are hereby. established, to-wit :
(a) Pre-.Draft .Consultation and services incidental
thereto - A fee of One Hundred Dollars ($100 . 00)
plus Twenty Five Dollars ($25 . 00) per acre.
(b.) For services in connection with the environmental
impact .statement, draft and final document, including
cost of coordination and review. by City Departments -
a fee of One Hundred Dollars ($I00 . 00) , togeth.er with
an amount equal to the City� s actual costs incurred
for all such work.
SECTION II : Any and all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
