CITY OF RENTON , WASHINGTON
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
AMENDING THE CITY ' S COMPREHEN5IVE LAND USE PLAN
AND MAPS AND DATA IN CONJUNCTION THEREWITH
RELATING TO CERTAIN PROPERTIES IN THE GENERAL
VICINITY OF 138th AND SUNSET BOULEVARD N.E . ,
RENTON, WASHINGTON.

WHEREAS THE Planning Commission of the City of Renton and

� the City Council have heretofore adopted and filed a ".Comprehensive
0 LAND USE PLAN" as evidenced by Resolution No. 1240, and Ordinance

� No. 2142, and as same have been implemented and amended from time

('�- to time, together with the adoption of various codes , reports and
records , and
WHEREAS since said adoption the Planning Commission has
heretofore duly recommended to the City Council, from time to time,
certain amendments to said City ' s "Comprehensive Land Use Plan" ; and
WHEREAS a petition has heretofore been filed by C. E. Loveless
and Lloyd W. Powell on or about October 5, 1976, and said matter
having come on for public hearing before the �lanning Commission on or
about December 8, 1976, and said hearing having been duly continued
and a public hearing having been likewise held be�ore the City Council
of the City of Renton on February 7 , 1977 , and all parties appearing
in favor.-�of or in opposition to said Petition and amendment to the

City ' s Comprehensive Land Use Plan having been duly heard at such
public hearings , and
WHEREAS the Ci.tX Coun�il has dul� deter�iined ��ter conSideration
of all the testimony, petitions and evidence be�ore it that it is
advisable and appropriate to amend and modify the City ' s "Comprehensive
Land Use Plan" and such amendment being in the public interest and I
for the public benefit; NOW THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON , DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION .2: The aforestated findings and recita�s are
hereby found to be true and correct in all respects , and Petitioners '
application is hereby granted and the City Council hereby concurs

in the recommendations and findings of the Planning Commission as
hereinbelow set forth.
SECTION II: The City of Renton ' s "Comprehensive Land Use
Plan" and m�ps , data and reports in conjunction therewith are hereby
modified and amended, pursuant to the public hearings held in connection
therewith as hereinabove s ecified which amendments and modifications

� relate to the following described properties , to-wit:

� and said properties described in said Exhibit are hereby designated

as "Commercial Use" , "Low Density Multi-Family" and ',hMedium Density
Multi-Family District" on said "Comprehensive Land Use Plan" and any
and all other plans and records pertaining thereto.
SECTION III : The Planning Director is hereby authorized and
directed to make the necessary changes on said City ' s "Comprehensive
Land Use Plan" and the maps in conjunction therewith to evidence the
aforedesc 'ribed amendment.
SECTION IV: The City Clerk is further authorized and directed
to file this Ordinance as provided by law, and a complete copy of
said document likewise being on file with the office of the City Clerk,
City of Renton,
SECTION V: This Ordinance shall be effective upon its passage ,
