ORDINANCE N0. �3159 � I
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REN.TON, WASHINGTON,
VACATING A PORTION OF S .W. 12TH STREET AND A
PORTION OF NEARBY ALLEYWAY
WHEREAS a proper petition for vacating a portion of S .W.
12th Street (South 150th Place) , together with a nearby alleyway,
Renton, King County, Washington, was duly filed with the City
Clerk on or about August 3 , 1977 , and said petition having been
signed by owners representing more than two-thirds of the property
abutting upon such .street and nearby alleyway sought to be vacated;
and
WHEREAS the City Council by Resolution No. 2129 passed
and approved on August 15, 1977 , and after due investigation,
did f ix and determine the 26-th day of September, 1977 at the
hour of 8 : 00 P.M. in the City Council Chambers of the City of
Renton to be the time and place for a public hearing thereon,
and the City Clerk having given due notice of such hearing in
the manner provided by law, and all persons� having been heard
appearing in favor or in opposition ther_eto; and
WHEREAS the Department of Public Works and the Planning
De artment of the Cit of Renton havin dul considered said

petition for said vacation, and having found same to be in the
public interest and for the public benefit, and no injury or
damage to any person or properties will result from such vacation;
NOW THEREFORE , THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :

records of King County, Washington; lying Easterly

the City of Re.nton under Ordinance No . .2475 on
' April 7 , 1969 . .
Together with all that portiori of. an alley running
in an eas�terly and westerly direction through
Block 41 of said plat of C. D. Hillman' s Earlington
. Gardens Division No. l, abutting Lots 16. through .
28 inclusive and 29 through 41 inclusive; lying �
Easterly of the Easterly R/W line of Oakdale
Avenue S.W. (80th Avenue South) extended; and �
Westerly of all that portion of alleyway previously
vacated under said Ordinance No. 2475
As situated within the Northeast 1/4 of Section II
24, Twp. 23 N. , Range 4 E. ,W.M. I
BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY VACATED, subject to payment unto the I
City by Petitioner-owners of the �amount of $ 9 , 222 . 00 which ,
said amount does not exceed 1/2 of the appraised value of the
area hereinabove vacated.

SECTION II: This Ordinance slial'1 be effective. upon
its passage, approval and five days after. its publication.
