OF TITLE II (COMMISSIONS AND BOARDS) OF ORDINANCE
� N0. 1628 ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF
. THE CITY OF RENTON" RELATING TO THE MEMBERSHIP AND
DUTIES OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS •
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAN AS FOLLOWS:
I;I SECTION -I: EXisting Section 2-601 of Chapter 6, Title II
( Commissions and Boards) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of
General Ordinances of the City of Renton" is hereby amended to read
as follows:.
Section 2-601, as amended: CREATION: There is hereby �
created and established a Board of Public Works. Said Board shall
consist in its membership of the following officials :
� l. Director of Public Works
2 . Director of Parks and Recreation
3 . Director of Planning
4. Fire Chief
. 5 . Traff ic Engineer
Officials of other City Departments may participate in the proceedings
of said Board as ex-officio, non-voting members .
SECTION II: Existing subsection (E) o� Section 2-602
of Title II (Commissions and Boards) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled
"Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton" is hereby amended
to read as fo.11ows:
Section 2-602 (E) , as amended: To consider and grant
, "deferments" under the terms and provisions of the City of Renton
Ordinance No. 2432 relating to underground wiring and all matters
i�cidental thereto and said deferments not to exceed 24 months .

SECTION III : There is hereby added a new subsection
(K) to Section 2-602 of Title II (Commissions and Boards) of Ordinance
No. 1628 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City of
Renton" , as follows :
Section 2-602 (K) To consider and grant deferment
of off-site improvements under the terms and provisions of City
2823 and 2845 , as amended .
of Renton Ordinance No.2.�67 �/ � (See Title 9 , Chapter 11 of this

Code) . 'Said deferment not to exceed �a` period of 24 months, _an`d to
be in strict compliance� with the provisions of, Chapter 11 , Title 9 .
SECTION IV : .Any and all ordinances or, parts of ordinances
- in conflict herewith are hereby repealed . ` �' ` ,

SECTION V: This Ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage, approval and five days after its publication.
