ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,CHANGING THE
ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES WITHIN THE CITY
OF RENTON FROM RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT (R-2), AGRICULTURAL
DISTRICT (A-1) TO LIGHT INDUSTRY DISTRICT (L-1)
WHEREAS, under Ordinance No. 1472, as amended, and the maps adopted in
conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has heretofore been zoned
as RESIDENTIAL (R-2) and AGRICULTURAL (A-1) under the King County zoning regulations
and said property now being located within the City Limits of the City of Renton; and
WHEREAS, under the provisions of the aforementioned Ordinance, as amended,
a proper petition for change of zone classification of said property to LIGHT INDUSTRY
(L-1) has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton on March 8, 1960, which
petition was then duly submitted to the Planning Commission for investigation, public
hearing and study, and a public hearing having been held thereon on April 13, 1960,
in the Council Chamber of the City of Renton, all pursuant to Notice of Hearingduly
published and posted as provided by law, and said Planning Commission having duly
considered and studied said Petition, and there being no oral or written protest
thereto; NOW THEREFORE,
FOLLOWS:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS
SECTION I: The following described parcel of property in the City of
Renton is hereby rezoned to LIGHT INDUSTRY (L-1) as specified below; the City
Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the zoning ordinances
of the City of Renton to evidence this rezoning; said property being described as
follows:
Lots 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7, Block 19, of C. D. Hillman's Earlington Gardens
Division No. 1, all located in Renton, King County, Washington,
and said rezoning to be subject to the laws and ordinances of the City of Renton,
and subject to the determination and control by the City Engineering Department
pertaining to all matters of ingress and egress for vehicular traffic from and to
the herein described premises.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and legal publication.
