AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE
ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES WITHIN THE CITY
OF RENTON FROM RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT (R -9.6,R-2) TO BUSINESS
DISTRICT (B-1).
WHEREAS under Ordim nce No. 1472, as amended, and the maps adopted in
conjunction therewith, a proper petition for change of zone classif ication of
certain properties as hereinbelow more particularly described to BUSINESS DISTRICT
(B-1) has been filed with the City Clerk of the CITY OF RENTON on or about April
22, 1960, and said properties had heretofore been zoned RESIDENTIAL (R-9.6 and R-2)
under the zoning regulations of King County and said properties having heretofore
been annexed to the City of Renton'and
WHEREAS said petition was duly submitted to the Planning Commission for
investigation, public hearing and study, and a public hearing having been held
thereon on May 11, 1960 in the Council Chambers of the City of Renton, all pursuant
to notice of hearing duly published and posted as provided by law, and said Planning
Commission having duly considered and studied said petition and having considered
all protests and objections thereb, and said Planning Commission having further
determined that certain conditions and special permits be attached to such rezoning
which are considered necessary for the promotion of the public health, safety,
morals and general welfare; NOVI THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The following described parcels of property in the City of
Renton are hereby rezoned to BUSNESS DISTRICT (B-1) subject to the conditions and
special permits hereinbelow stated; the City Engineer is hereby authorized and
directed to change the maps of the zoning ordinances of the City of Renton to
evidence this rezoning; said properties being described as folbws:
Parcel A:
The West 200 feet of Lots 2, 3, 6 and 7 in Block 2 of
C.D. Hillman's Lake Washington Garden of Eden Division
No. 7,
Parcel B:
That portion of Government Lot 1, lying east of PSH
Highway No. 1 described as follows: (also known as
Tax Lot No. 10):
That portion of the NW 1/4 of Section 32, Twp. 24 N.,
Range 5 E.,W.M. lying N of the N line of Tract 108 of
C.D. Hillman's Lake Washington Garden of Eden Div. #2
and lying E of the E right-of-wway line of PSH #J;
EXCEPT the Southerly 329.55 feet thereof; all according
to plat recorded in Volume 11 of Plats, page 64, records

Parcel C: That portion of Government Lot No. 1, lying east of PSH
Highway No. 1 (also known as Tax Lot No. 43) described
as follows:
The southerly 329.55 feet of that portion of the NW 1/4
of Section 32, Twp. 24N., R.5 E.,W.M. lying N of the N
line of Tract 108 of.C.D. Hillman's Lake Washington Garden
Of Eden Div. #2 and lying E of the E right-of-way line of
PSH #/, all according to plat recorded in Volume 11 of
Plats, page 64, records of King County.
and said rezoning to be subject to the laws and ordinances of the City of Renton
and in strict compliance with the pians and specifications heretofore submitted by
petitioners -owners of said properties; and said rezoning to .be further subject to
the special conditions and permits as follows:
1. That all buildings and improvements within the area rezoned comply with
all setback requirements imposed on residential districts.
2. That no business or establishment of any kind be at any time
located within the area rezoned which dispenses, sells or deals
in alcoholic beverages.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and legal publication.
