ORDINANCE NO. �r
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, FIXING THE AMOUNT
OF TAX LEVIES NECESSARY TO MEET THE AMOUNT OF ESTIMATED EXPENSES
FOR THE YEAR 1961 LESS THE TOTAL ESTIMATED REVENUES FROM SOURCES
OTHER THAN TAXATION, INCLUDING AVAILABLE SURPLUS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, AS FOLI GWS :
SECTION I: The total amount of estimated expenditures required for the City
of Renton for the year 1961 is the sum of $2,606,078.00 for Ordinary Expenditures,
plus the sum of $1,970,000.00 of Extraordinary Expenditures, towit: for a Public
Library in the sum of $450,000.00; Arterial Street Improvements in the sum of
$1,300,000.00; Burnett Street Improvements in the sum of $120,000.00; and Traffic
Signal System in the sum of $100,000.00; being a total of $4,576,078.00 Ordinary and
Extraordinary Expenditures. The total estimated revenue from sources other than tax-
ation, including available surpluses, is the sum of $1,613,579.00; therefore the
amount necessary to be raised by taxation is the sum of $992,499.00; and the amount
to be raised for said Extraordinary Expenditures by Bond Issue yet to be authorized
is the sum of $1,970,000.00, being a total of $4,576,078.00 Ordinary and Extraordinary
Revenues.
SECTION II: There is hereby levied and assessed against the taxable property
real and personal, within the corporate limits of the City of Renton, Washington, for
the purpose of raising the necessary revenue for said City for the year 1961, the
following amounts, to -wit: (Total Assessed Valuation - $53,589,252.00)

SECTION III: A certified copy of this Ordinance shall be transmitted to
the King County Commissioners and such other governmental agencies as provided by
law.
SECTION IV: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval and publication.
