ORDINANCE N0. 1856
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, VACATING A PORTION
OF SOUTH 132ND STREET, LOCATED IN THE CITY OF RENTON, KING COUNTY,
WASHINGTON.
WHEREAS a proper petition for vacating of a portion of a certain street
as hereinafter more particularly described, was duly filed with the City Clerk on
August 9,1960, signed by all the owners of the property abutting upon said portion
at
of the street sought to be vacated, which petition was read/a regular meeting of the
City Council on August 9, 1960; and
WHEREAS the City Council by Resolution and after due investigation did
fix and determine September 6, 1960, at 8:00 o'clock P.M. in the Council Chambers
of the City of Renton to be the time and place for the public hearing thereon and
directed the Clerk to give notice of such hearing in the manner provided by law;and
WHEREAS the City Clerk has duly caused notice of such hearing to be published
and to be posted for the time and in the manner provided by law, and
WHEREAS the public hearing was duly held upon said petition on the day so
fixed and the City Council having duly heard all objections and protests to the
granting of said petition and all other matters in connection therewith and the City
Council did at that time vote to grant said petition for vacation and the City Council
futther finding that the vacation of the hereinafter described portion of the street
is proper and advantageous to all concerned and will serve the public interest and
will not cause injury or damage to any properties or persons and said vacation being
of public benefit and the petitioners for said vacation having agreed to convey unto
the City of Renton certain portions of adjoining property for the purpose of providing
a third lane and adequate access from RentonAvenue onto 90th Avenue South; NOW THEREFORE
FOLLOWS:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS
SECTION I: The following described portion of South 132nd Street to -wit:
That portion of South 132nd Street (Lansing Street and 7th Avenue)
lying between 90th Avenue South (Adsit Avenue) and 91st Avenue
South (Ohio Avenue) as platted in N. H. Latimer's Lake Washington
Plat as recorded in Volume 6 of Plats, Page 70, records of King
County, Washington and as platted in Earlington Acre Tracts as
decorded in Volume 15 of Plats, Page 84, records of King County,
Washington
BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY VACATED; subject to and reserving unto the City of Renton
a certain 20 foot easement for utility and other purposes, said easement being centered
within the street right of way hereinabove described:
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be effective from and after its
passage, approval and legal publication provided by law.
