ORDINANCE NO. If
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON FIXING THE
ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES RECENTLY
ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF RENTON.
WHEREAS the lands hereinafter described have recently been annexed
to the CITY OF RENTON; and
WHEREAS under the provisions of Rezoning Ordinance No. 1472, as amended,
the City Council acting upon recommendations from the City Planning Commission

has initiated zoning of the aforesaid lands hereinbelow described, under the
provisions of aforesaid Renton Zoning Ordinance; a public hearing upon such
proposed zoning and recommendations having been duly held May 2, 1961 by the
City Council at its regular meeting of that date in the Council Chambers of the
CITY OF RENTON pursuant to notice of such hearing duly posted and published as
provided by law; now therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The following described lands in the CITY OF RENTON
are hereby zoned B-1 District (Business District) and the City Engineer and
Planning Director are hereby directed to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinances
of the CITY OF RENTON to evidence this zoning, which shall be subject to all
Laws and Ordinances of the CITY OF RENTON; said lands being described thus:
That portion of Henry Meader Donation Claim No. 46 in Sections
24 and 25, Township 23 North, Range 4 East W.M., lying Easterly
of the Northern Pacific Railroad Right of Way.
Also Gov't. Lot 14 of Section 24, Township 23 North, Range 4 East
W.M. Also that portion of Gov't. Lot 8, Section 24, Township 23
NQrth, Range 4 East lying Easterly of Northern Pacific Railroad
Right-of-way and Southerly of So. 153rd Street.
SECTION II: The following described lands in the CITY OF RENTON
are hereby zoned B-1 District (Business District) and the City Engineer and
Planning Director are hereby directed to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinances
of the CITY OF RENTON to evidence this zoning, which shall be subject to all
Laws and Ordinances of the CITY OF RENTON; said lands being described thus:
That portion of Section 18, Township 23 North, Range 5 East, lying
Easterly of Edwards Street, Westerly of the East margin of Covington
Electric Line Right -of -Way and P.S.H. No. 5, and Southerly of P.S.H. No. 2.

Ordinances of the CITY OF RENTON to evidence this zoning, which shall be subject
to all Laws and Ordinances of the CITY OF RENTON; said lands being described thus:
That portion of the North 1/2 of Section 8, Township 23 North,
Range 5 East W.M. lying Westerly of P.S.H. No. 1 and Easterly of
Northern Pacific Railways' Right -of -Tay.
SECTION IV: The following described lands in the CITY OF RENTON
are hereby zoned H-1 District (Heavy Industrial District) and the City Engineer
and Planning Director are hereby directed to change the maps of the Zoning
Ordinances of the CITY OF RENTON to evidence this zoning, which shall be subject
to all Laws and Ordinances of the CITY OF RENTON; said lands being described thus:
That portion of Section 5, Township 23 North, Range 5 East, W.M.
lying Westerly of the Northern Pacific Railway Right -of -Tay and
Easterly of West Renton City Limit line;Jess City of Renton Park
Property.
SECTION V: The following described lands in the CITY OF RENTON
are hereby zoned'T" District (Trailer Park District) and the City Engineer and
Planning Director are hereby directed to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinances
of the CITY OF RENTON to evidence this zoning, which shall be subject to all
Laws and Ordinances of the CITY OF RENTON; said lands being described thus:
That portion of the NW 1/4 of Section 5, Township 23 North,
Range 5 East W.M., lying Easterly of Lake Washington Blvd.,
Westerly of 104th Ave. S.E., and Southerly of Plat of Eldon Acres.
Also Lots 39,40 and 41 of Eldon Acres, per Plat recorded in
Volume 11 of Plats, page 86, Records of King County.
SECTION VI: The following described lands in the CITY OF RENTON
are hereby zoned H-1 District (Heavy Industrial District) and the City Engineer
and Planning Director are hereby directed to change the maps of the Zoning
Ordinances of the CITY OF RENTON to evidence this zoning, which shall be subject
to all Laws and Ordinances of the CITY OF RENTON; said lands being described .thus:

That portion of Sections 29 and 32, Township'24 North, Range 5 East-
W.M.,
ast -W.M., lying Northerly of S. E. 84th Street,.Easterly of West City
Limits and Southerly of most Northerly line described in Renton
Annexation Ordinance No. 1804 as described therein, together with that
portion of said Sections lying Easterly of Lake Washington Blvd.,
Westerly of P.S.H. No. 1 and Northerly of May Creek.

SECTION VII: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and publication.
