ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PMTON, WASHINGTON, APPROPRIATING CERTAIN
FUNDS RECEIVED IN EXCESS OF ESTIMATED REVENUES OF THE WATER FUND, AND
AUTHORIZING EXPENDITURES THEREFROM FOR CAPITAL OUTLAY FOR NEEDS OF SAID
CITY WATER FUND.
BE IT ORDAINED BY TIDE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON.. AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The City Council finds that the expenditure of funds to the amount
of $30,213.75, in addition to those provided to be expended under the 1961 budget of
the City of Menton for capital outlay needs and requirements of the City's water system,
is necessary for needs and requirements which could not reasonably have been foreseen
at the tune of making said budget; that the sum of 830,213.75 has been received from
the State Highway Department constituting certain reimbursement for work done by the
City of Renton on relocation of water facilities and said sum is now available to
the Water Department in excess of revenue estimated and anticipated for said fund
in the City's budget of 1961; that it is to the best interest of the City of Renton
and for the public benefit to transfer and appropriate said amount from excess revenue
received as aforesaid for the purpose of providing necessary additional funds for
capital outlays in the said City hater Department; that such expenditures are necessary
for the proper administration and operation of the City and its water system.
SECTION IT: Said sum of 0309213.75 received and held in the City eater Fund
in excess of anticipated revenue be and the same is hereby appropriated and budgeted
for expenditures as follows, and the City Treasurer is % reby authorized and directed
to make the necessary transfer, to -wit:
UNTO: Water Department, Water Maintenance,
Capital Outlay, Acgount No. 7090.12,
"Pipe and Fittings`(1700) $30,213.75
SECTION III: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval and legal publication.
