AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHIINGTON, CHANGING THE
ZONING CLASSIFIC?.TION OF CERTAIN P'OPERTY 14ITHIN THE CITY OF
RENTON FRD11 GMUERAL CLASSIFICATION DISTRICT (G) TO- SUBURBAN RESIDFNCE
DISTRICT (SR -1)
WHEREAS under Chapter VII, Title IV (Building Regulations)., of Ordinance No.
1628 known as the "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton" as amended, and
the maps adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has
heretofore been zoned as Gdneral Classification- District. (G); and
WHEREAS under the provisions of the aforesaid Ordinance, as amended, a proper
petition for change cf zone classification of the hereinbelow described property has
been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton or or about June 1, 1961, which
Petition was then duly submitted to the Planning Commission for investigation, public
hearing anal study, and a public hearing having been held thereon on June 28, 1961 in
the Council Chambers of the City of Renton, all pursuant to notice of hearing drily
published and posted as provided by law; and said Planning Commission having duly
considered and studied said petition and having heard all parties appearing in support
thereof or in opposition thereto; now therefore
BE IT ORDAINM BY THE MAYOR .AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF M CITY OF RENTON AS
FOLLa,TS :
SECTION I: The follo-4ng described parcel of property in the City of Renton
is hereby rezoned to Suburban Residence District (SR -1) as specified below; the City
Engineer and the Planning Director are hereby authorized and directed to change the maps
of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Renton to evidence this rezoning; said property
being described as follows:
That portion of the southeast ' of Section 30, Twp. 23 N., R fE-,
W.M. described as follows:
Beginning at the sazth 4 ,9f said Section 30; thence north along
the north and south center line of said Section 30 a distance of
1083 feet; thence S 84017100/1 E 1000.07 feet to the true point
of beginning; thence southerly parallel to the westerly line of the
Springbrook or Talbot County Rd- (96th Ave. S.E.) 300 feet; thence
S 840171001r E 800 feet, more or less, to the westerly line of said
road; thence northerly parallel to said westerly line 30 feet; thence
N 84017100" 300 feet; thence northerly parallel to the westerly line
of said road 120 feet; thence N 81017100/1 W 200 ft; thence northerly
parallel to the westerly line of said road 120 ft; thence S 84017100"
E 500 feet to the westerly line of said road; thence northerly along
said westerly line 30 ft; thence N 81017100" W 321 ft, more or less to a pD>rt
bearing S 84017t00" E distant 179.25 feet from the true point
of beginning; thence N 80411001, W 85.28 feet; thence N 0025100"
1 E� feet, more or less, to the north line of the south half
of the southeast 4 of said Section 30; thence westerly along
said north line 230 feet more or less, to a point bearing
N 20001,4011 E from a point which bears S 84017100" E distant
109.15 feet from the true point of beginning; thence S 20001t4o"
W 375 feet, more or less, to a point bearing S 84ol7f00" E from
the true point of beginning; thence N 84017t00" 109.45 feet to the
true point of beginning,
and said rezoning to be subject to the laws and ordinances of the City of Renton.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval and legal publication.
