ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF ME CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON CHANGING THE ZONING
CIASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY ,,ITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM
RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R-3) to BLTS11TESS DISTRICT (B-1)
?REREAS under Chapter VII, Title IV (Building Regulations), of Ordinance No.
1628, known as the "Code of General Orlinances of the City of Renton" as anended, and
the maps adopted in conj.nction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has
heretofore been zoned as Residence District (R-3); and
WHEREAS under the provisions of the aforesaid Ordinance., as amended, a proper
petition for change of acne classification of the hereinbelow described property has
been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton or or about June 5, 1961, which
Petition was then duly submitted to the Planning Commission for investigation, public
hearing and study, and a public hearing having been held thereon on June2$, 1961 in
the Council Chambers of the City of Renton, all pursuant to notice of hearing duly
published and posted as provided by law; and said Planning Commission having duly
crnsidered and studied said petition and having heard all parties appearing in support
thereof or in opposition thereto; now therefore
BE TT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS
FO VOWS :
SECTION I: The following described parcel of property in the City of Renton
is hereby rezoned to Business District (B-1) as specified below; the City Engineer and
the Planning Director are hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the
Zoning Ordirance of the City of Renton to evidence this rezoning; said property being
described as follows:
North 2 of Lot 9, Block 6, Renton Highlands, situate in
Kenton, King County, Washington
Provided however that the Owner of said property, his successors
and assigns, shall provide that the fill area on the west and
south of said property so rezoned be adequately and properly
landscaped with suitable plantings on the face of the slope and
near its base so as to produce harmonious appearance compatible
with the adjoining street and to further adequately screen said
slope, business and parking area from the adjoining residential
properties; and owner shai1 further supply and furnish unto the
City of Renton a -Performance Bond to be effective for not less
than 2 years from date hereof insuring unto City compliance with
the above conditions. Owner, his successors and assigns shall
properly and continuously maintain the areas to be landscaped at
his cost and expense, which covenant shall run with the land.
Said rezoning to be otherwise subject to the laws and ordinances of the City
of Renton.

SECTION II This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, epproval and legal publication.
