AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHANGINI THE ZONING
CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM
RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R-2) TO RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT.(R-4 - Apartment Houses
and Multiple Dwellings).
WHEREAS under Chapter VII, Title IV (Building Regulations), of Ordinance
No. 1628, known as the "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton", as amended,
and the maps adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described
has heretofore been zoned as Residence District(R-2); and
WHEREAS under the provisions of the aforesaid Ordinance, as amended, the
City Council on its own Motion, and upon recommendation of the Planning Commission,
initiated the rezoning of the hereinbelow described property, and the Planning Com-
mission having duly considered and studied said proposal and a public hearing re-
lative to said rezoning of the hereinbelow described property having been duly held
on December 5, 1961 in the Council Chambers of the City of Renton, all pursuant to
notice of hearing duly published and posted as provided by law, and said rezoning
to be in the public interest and for the public benefit; NOW THEREFORE
AS FOLLOWS:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON
SECTION I: The following described property in the City of Renton is
hereby rezoned to R-4 Residential. District (R-4 - Apartment Houses and Multiple
Dwellings) as specified below; the City Engineer and the Planning Director are hereby
authorized and directed to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of
Renton to evidence this rezoning; said property being described as follows:
That portion of Sections 7 and 8 of Township 23 North Range 5 East W.M.
lying northerly of the center line Fourth Avenue North and said center-
line extended westerly southerly of the centerline Sixth Avenue North,
westerly of the centerline Park Street and easterly of the centerline
Logan Street. All located in Renton, King County, Washington.
and said rezoning to be subject to the laws and ordinances of the City of Renton.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and legal publication.
