AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING
CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM
RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R-1) TO RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R-2)
WHEREAS under Chapter VII, Title IV (Building Regulations), of Ordinance
No. 1628, known as the "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton", as amended,
and the maps adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow.described has
heretofore been zoned as Residence District (R-1); and
WHUMS under the provisions of the aforesaid Ordinance, as amended, the
City Council on its own Motion, and upon recommendation of the Planning Commission,
initiated the rezoning of the hereinbelow described properties, and the Planning Com-
mission and the City Council having duly considered and studied said proposal and a
public hearing relative to said.rezoning of the hereinbelow described properties.=bav-
ing been duly held on March 5, 1962 in the Council Chambers of the City of Renton,
all pursuant to notice of hearing duly published and posted as provided by law, and
said rezoning to be in the public interest and for the public benefit and no objec-
tions having been heard in opposition thereto either orally or in writing; NOW

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON
SECTION I: The following described properties in the City of Renton are
hereby rezoned to (Residential District) R-2 as specified below; the City Engineer
and the Planning Director are hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of
the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Renton to evidence this rezoning; said properties
being described as follows:
Blocks 1, 2, 3s 23, 6s 7, 81 9 and 10; Lots 1 through 3 of Block 3.1; Lots 1
through 5 of Block 23; Block 24; Block 25; Lots through14 of Bloeb 26A,
1, Sts J ,through .� of 131ock 268; Blocks 28, �9' 35s 35As 231., 232, 44 and 235;
Block 23� Less Tract 236C; Blocks 237,, 50 and 51 .the Corrected Plat of
Renton Highlands No. 21 as recorded in Volume/6f Plats on Pages 92 to 98
Inclusive Records of King County,, Washington, all situated in Renton,, King
County,, Washington
and said rezoning to be subject to the laws and ordinances of the City of Renton.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and legal publication,
