AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES WITHIN.THE CITY OF RENTON FROM GENERAL CLASSIFICATION DISTRICT TO BUSINESS DISTRICT (B--1) AND RESI- DENTIAL DISTRICT (R-3) WHEREAS under Chapter VII, Title IV (Building Regulations), of Ordinance No. 1628, known as the "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton" as amended, and the maps adopted in conjunction therewith, the prpperties hereinbelow described have heretofore been zoned as General Classification District; and WHEREAS under the aforesaid Ordinance, as amended, a proper petition for change of zone classification of the hereinbelow described properties has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton on or about April 26, 1962, and thereafter referred to the Planning Commission for investigation, study and public hearing, and a public hearing having been held on said matter on or about May 23, 1962 in the Council Chamber of the City of Renton, all pursuant to notice of hearing duly publishdd and posted as provided by law; and said Planning Commission having duly considered and studied said petition and all parties having been heard appearing in support thereof or in opposition thereto; NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I: The following described parcels of property in the City of Renton are hereby rezoned to Business District (B-1) and Residential District (R-•3) respectively as hereinafter specified, and the City Engineer and the Planning Director are hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Renton to evidence this rezoning; said properties being described as follows: (a) Rezoning from General Classification District to Business District (B-1) Portion of the North 3/4 of the Northeast 1/4, of the Northeast 1/4, Section 8•.23-5 W.M. lying Northwesterly of Sunset Highway and West of 114th Avenue S.E.; less the North 590' thereof and less the west 200' thereof and less the N. 685' of the West 300' thereof and less that portion of the following described property lying within the above described parcel beginning 300' East of and 855.96' south of the Northwest corner of the Northeast 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 8, Township 23 N., Range 5 East W.M., thence North 85014100" west 111.40' thence south 17048'00" west 153.59' thence South 89034101" East 87..72' more or less to the westerly margin of Sunset Highway (PSH #2), thence northeasterly along the westerly margin of Sunset Highway.142.80' more or less,thence North 15.35' to the point of beginning_, all situate in King County, Washington (b) 'Rezoning from General Classification Districts;to Residential District (R-3) The West 200' of North 3/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4, f"l- F� Section 8-23-5 W.M. lying Northwesterly of the Sunset Highway less the West 150' of the North 710' and less the east 50' of the West 200' of the North 685' and less that portion of the following described property lying within the above described parcel beginning 300' East of and 855.96' south of the northwest corner of the Northeast 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 8, Township 23 N. Range 5 East W.M., thence North 8514.00" west 111.40' thence south 17"48100" west 153.59' thence South 89034'01•' East 87.72' more or less to the westerly margin of Sunset Highway (PSH,#2), thence northeasterly along the westerly margin of Sunset Highway 142.80' more or less, thence North 15.35' to the point of beginning, all situate in King County, Washington. and said rezoning to be subject to the laws and ordinances of the City of Renton.
