ORDINANCE N0.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON DECLARING THAT
AN EMERGENCY EXISTS AND APPROPRIATING MONIES FOR THE PURPOSE
OF PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF NECESSARY EXPENSES NECESSITATED
BY SUCH EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS since the adoption of the 1962 Annual Budget of the CITY OF RENTON,
it has become necessary to provide for the expenditure of certain funds including the
repair of the City Hall Building and to prevent further damage to said structure, all
of which expenditures were not foreseeable at the time of the adoption of the 1962
Budget; and
WHEREAS it is necessary for the proper administration, operation and main-
tenance of the CITY and its Departments to appropriate funds for and out of the
City fund as hereinafter set forth for the purpose of such maintenance and operation;
NOW THEREFORE
AS FOLLOWS:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
SECTION I: The foregoing recitals and facts are hereby found and determined
by the City Council to be true and existing, and by reason thereof the Council does
hereby declare that an emergency exists.

SECTION II: That there be and/hereby allowed and established the following
sums for expenditures in the following classification, and said sums are appropriated
for expenditure in said classification, and same being in addition to the provisions
of said 1962 Annual Budget, to -wit:

Department and Fund Maintenance and Operation Total Sum
I-0 Current Fund, Engineering - Maintenance and operation $3,216.00
C-3 Municipal Buildings
SECTION III: This Ordinance is an emergency Ordinance which shall not be
voted upon until one week shall have elapsed after its introduction and a copy thereof

shall be published as a proposed Ordinance with a notice of the time set for voting
thereon.
SECTION IV: This Ordinance shall be in full force / and effect from and after
its passage, approval and legal publication.
