AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY 0 RENTTON, WASHINGTON TRAI\?SFERRING
CERTAIN FUNDS IN EXCESS OF ESTIMATED REVE1,RES, FOR THE PURCHASE
OF FIRE 17IGHTING EQUIPM1 4T.
W'MEAS the Current Fund of the City of Renton has received revenues
in excess of estimated revenues, largely from extra franchise fees; and
WHEREAS such excess revenues are needed to meeld increased cost above
sums budgeted in the 1963 Budget of the City for acquisition of fire truck
and pumping equipment thereon , whidch expense couU not be reasonably fore-
seen at time of adopting said Budget; such appropriation and expenditure
being necessary and required to purchase proper truck and pumping equipment
and to prevent threatened increase of fire insurance rates upon properties
in the City, and being in the public interest and for the public welfare,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR K D THE CITY COUNCIL OF YHE CITY OF RENTON:
SECTION 1: There is hereby appropriated from aforesaid excess revenues,
derived mainly fnom extra franchise fees, now within the Current Fund, to and
for CUIR�IUTIATIVE FUND NO. 1698, the sum of $I i , 000.00, for the purpose of
purchase of fire -fighting equipment, and the City Clerk and City Treasurer
are hereby authorized and directed to make transfer of said sum as above.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and legal publication.
