ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHTNGTON
4.
AMENDING SECTION 1-1305 OF TITLE I (ADMINISTRATIVE)
OF ORDINANCE NO. 1628 ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF RENTON".
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RENTON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: Existing Section 1-1305 of Title I (Administra-
tive) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of General Ordinances
of the City of Renton" reading as follows:
GEI',IERAL DUTIES: The duties of the Superintendent of Utilities
shall Jnc the admini stration, -construction and planning,'
(including financial programing) of the Water Department, to-
gether with the administration and supervision of the Munici-
pal Sewage Treatment Plant; the construction of all sewer
trunk and accessory lines and the supervision of all garbage
and refuse collection activities to be performed by the City,.
including billings of all utility accounts. The Superinten-
dent of Utilities shall further establish and maintain pro-
per liaison and methods of cooperation with other departments
of the City, especially the Street Department and the City
Engineer; and perform such other general or specific duties
as may be prescribed by the City Council from time to time.
BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1-1305, as amended:
GENERAL DUTIES: The duties of the Superintendent of Utilities
shall include the administration, construction and planning, (in-
cluding financial programing) of the Water Department, together with
the administration and supervision of the Municipal Sewage Treat-
ment Plant and related sewage facilities; the construction of all
sewer trunk and accessory lines and the supervision of all gar-
bage and refuse collection activities to be performed by the City;
Drovided however, that all billings of utility accounts shall be
handled under the supervision of the City Treasurer. The Super-
intendent of Utilities shall further establish and maintain proper
liaison and methods of cooperation with other departments of the
City, especially the Street Department and the City Engineer; and
perform such other general or specific duties as may be prescribed
by the City Council from time to time.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and legal publica-
tion.
