A RESOLUTION of the Council of the City of Renton,
Washington, employ ng counsel for services in
tonne tion with a proposed issue of water revenue
bond s
WHEREAS, the City of Renton, Washington, desires to pur-
chase the existing water distribution system of the Northwest
Water Co. and all the real and personal property used by said
company in connection with the operation of said system; and
WHEREAS, the council of said city have deemed it
advisable to issue water reVenue bonds of said city in the sum
of $100,,000 to pay part of the cost of the acquisition of said
system; and
WHEREAS, it is to the best interest of the city that
attorneys skilled in the preparation of the necessary proceedings
for the issuance and sale of said bonds be employed to prepare
such proceedings and to give their opinion as to the validity of
said bonds at the time of their sale,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Renton, Washington, as follows:
1. That Preston, Thorgrimson, Horowitz & Turner, attorneys,
of Seattle; Washington, be and they are hereby employed to perform
the services above set forth, and the City of Renton hereby agrees
to pay them as compensation therefor the sum of $300, and in ad-
dition to pay all cash expenditures made by said attorneys for the
purpose of performing said services.
The City further agrees to furnish to said attorneys at its '
own expense a transcript of all proceedings taken in the matter of
the issuance of said bonds.
PASSED by,the City Council of the City of Renton, and approved
by its Mayor this I=day of March, 1946.
