AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON I
AMENDING A PORTION OF CHAPTER 9 , TITLE VII (FIRE
REGULATIONS) RELATING TO BOARD OF APPEALS UNDER
THE UNIFORM FIRE CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: Existing Section 7-904 of Title VII (Fire
Regulations) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of General Ordinances
of the City of Renton" is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 7-904 , as amended: APPLICATION; APPEAL: Whenever
the chief of the Fire Department shall disapprove an application or
refuse to grant the permit applied for, or when it is claimed that the
provisions of the Code do not apply or that the true intent and meaning
of the Code have been misconstrued or wrongly interpreted, such
applicant may appeal from such decision to the Hearing Examiner of the
City of Renton within fourteen (14) days from the date of such decision
and as provided by the ordinances of the City of Renton. Any such appeal
shall be in writing, specifying the grounds upon which the appeal is
taken, and shall be considered by the Hearing Examiner as an appeal from
an administrative decision of the City' s Land Use Regulation Codes
under Section 4-3010 (A) 8 of the City Code .
SECTION II: Existing Section 7-905 of Title VII (Fire
Regulations) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of General Ordinances
of the City of Renton" is hereby amended by adding the following
subsection:

Section 7-905 (N) Section 2 . 302 of the Uniform Fire '
Code is deleted in its entirety.
SECTION III: This ordinance shall be effective upon ',
its passage, approval and thirty days after publication.
