� AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, ,
� VACATING A PORTION OF TAYLOR AVENUE S.W. AND MAPLE
� AVENUE S.W. LOCATED BETWEEN S .W. 19TH STREET AND I

� SW 21ST STREET (VAC 001-85 VALLEY OFFICE &
00 INDUSTRIAL PARK)
WHEREAS a proper petition for vacating a portion of Taylor
Avenue S.W. and Maple Avenue S.W. located between S.W. 19th Street and
S.W. 21st Street, Renton, King County, Washington, was duly filed
with the City Clerk on or about April 5, 1985, and said petition having
been signed by the owners representing more than two-thirds (2/3) of
the property abutting upon such streets sought to be vacated; and
WHEREAS the City Council by Resolution No. 2604 passed and
approved on May 13 , 1985, and after due investigation, did fix and
determine the 17th day of June, 1985 at the hour of 8 :00 P.M. in the
City Council Chambers of the City of Renton to be the time and place
for a public hearing thereon, and the City Clerk having given due
notice of such hearing in the manner provided by law, and all persons
having been heard appearing in favor or in opposition thereto; and the
City Council having considered all information and arguments presented
to it, and
WHEREAS The Board of Public Works of the City of Renton
having duly considered said petition for said vacation, and having
found same to be in the public interest and for the public benefit,
and no injury or damage to any person or properties will result
from such vacations;
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION I: The following described portions of Taylor
Avenue S.W. and Maple Avenue S.W. located between S .W. 19th Street
and S.W. 21st Street, to-wit:

� See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof
� as if fully set forth herein.

� BE AND THE SAME ARE HEREBY VACATED.
�
SECTION II: The City Council hereby elects to charge a fee
of $50,400.oo to Valley Off ice & Industrial Park, Inc. , said amount
not exceeding one-half (1/2) of the City' s appraisal of the right of
way interest herein vacated, and such charge being reasonable and
proper. The City Council hereby elects to waive the fees due from

the City of Renton associated with the City s ownership of Maple
Avenue S.W.
SECTION III : This Ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage, approval and five days after its publication.
A certified copy of this Ordinance shall be filed with the
Office of Records and Elections, and as otherwise provided by law.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 23rd day of December, 1985 .
