RESOLUTION NO. 902- WHEREAS., ©2 WHEREAS, Commercial Waterway District No, 2 of King County, State of Triashington, has heretofore been dissolved as provided by law and as further evidenced by the proceedings relative to such dissolution in the Superior Court in and for the County of King, State of Washington, known as Cause No. 494024, and Findings of Fact and Conclusions of Law and a Decree of Dissolution having here- tofore been granted and approved by said Court on July 3, 1956, and WHEREAS, pursuant to such Decree of Resolution all real estate and -personal properties of said Commercial Waterway District No. 2, including all improvements, rights, choses in actions and all other assets of every type and description have been distributed and set over unto the City of Renton, subject only to such existing leases and/or easements upon the real estate as are now filed and of record in the office of the Auditor of said King County; and WHEREAS, said assets included certain funds on deposit with the King County Treasurer's office with a balance of $18,857.99, less certain expenses in connection with the final dissolution and transfer of said properties, and it being deemed advisable and proper to place said fund, together with the income from existing rentals and leases now of record into a special and separate fund, now there- fore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RE NTON AS FOLLOWS: 1. That certain fund now on deposit with the King County Treasurer, King County, Washington, formerly owned by the Commercial Waterway District No. 2 of King County, and heretofore distributed unto the City of Renton, which fund has a present cash balance of $18,857.99, less certain incidental expenses in connection with the dissolution of said Commercial Waterway District, together with the income from existing rentals and leases now of record shall be deposited into a fund to be known as the "Cedar River Maintenance and Improvement Fundi. All monies so deposited in said fund may be allowed to accumulate from r year to year and same shall be used for flood control purposes and the maintenance, management, improvement and control of the Cedar River Channel, its banks, and for such other purposes as the City Council of the City of Renton may determine from time to time.
