RESOLUTION NO. /
WHEREAS, the United States of American, acting through the Public
Housing ;Administration, Housing and Home Financing Agency, has available for sale
to the City of Renton, a City of the second class under the laws of the.State of
Washington, certain premises as hereinafter more particularly described, located
in the Renton. Highlands being part of WASH -45058, 45059, 45134; and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton detennines and finds that the acquisition
of said property will be of general benefit to the -City of Renton and will con-:
tribute toward the general welfare of. its citizens, NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON
AS FOLLOWS, to -m -wit:
1. The following described proper ties;:;to=wit:
Parcel A:
The East one-half of the. -Southwest quarter of the Southwest
quarter of the Southeast quarter of.Section 4, Township 23
North, .,Range 5 E.W.M., less the south 30 feet thereof of
street right of way, all located in.the.City of Renton,
King County, Washington, an area of 4.69 acres;
Parcel B:
The West 465 feet less the West 25 feet thereof of the North
30 feet of the Southeast quarter of Section 8, Township 23
North, Range 5 E.W.M., all located in the City of -Renton,
King County,,Washirigton,
are hereby found to be parcels of property needed for proper municipal purposes,
to -wit: Parcel A to be required for general City of Renton Water Department
purposes, including use of reservoir and other utilities and for such other
municipal purposes as may be determined from time to time; that .Parcel B herein-
above described is needed and.required by the City of Renton for right-of-way
purposes for sewage, drainage and :other utilities, and related purposes thereto.
That the Mayor and the City Clerk of the -City of Renton are hereby
authorized and directed to execute and deliver the necessary instruments toward
the acquisition of said above described properties, described as Parcels A and B,
for the sum of $600.00, and same being a reasonable sum therefor; and the proper
City officials to make remittance of said sum, together with any incidental closing
costs and proration of the payment in lieu of taxes unto the Public Housing
