WHEREAS the City of Renton has made provision in its 1960 Annual Budget
for the participation by City employees in certain medical payment plans, and
WHEREAS such plans will be issued by the King County Medical Service
Corporation and the Group Health Cooperative of Puget Sound providing certain
medical coverage for all full time, regular employees of the City of Renton,
subject to the limitations and provisions of said contracts,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE 14AYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RENTON AS FOLLUdS:
SECTION I: The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Renton are hereby
authorized and directed to execute the proposed contracts for medical insur.
ance with the King County Medical Service Corporation and the Group Health
Cooperative of Puget Sound on behalf of the City of Renton and such contracts
to be on an annual basis. The master policies of such contracts to be filed
with the City Clerk and said contracts and policies shall be open to inspection
at all reasonable times by any person covered thereby.
SECTION II: It is understood that the City does not assume any liability
for any of the provisions or terms of such contracts or policies except only
that the City agrees to pay the premium or subscription therefor subject to
the hnniial- -budget limitations.
