ORDI14ANCE NO. 1372 -
An Ordinance of the City of Renton Allowing Compromise Settlement
of Claim for Injuries to Mary Tomac, and appropriating Funds for
Payment Thereof.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: There having been duly filed and presented to
the City Council a verified claim of Mary Tomac and her husband
Joseph, for damages for alleged injuries sustained by Mary Tomac
on november' 21, 1949, resulting from fall on alleged defective
sidewalk on Morris Street in the City of Renton, and said claim
having been referred to proper committee or department and report
back recommending allowance thereof having been made, the said
claim is hereby allowed in the sum of $19.57.
Section 2: The sum of $19.57 is hereby appropriated and
ordered paid to said claimant, from the current expense fund (Con-
sultants and contingencies budget item),and when so paid shall
constitute and operate as full compromise settlement, satisfaction
and release of all claims and damages for injuries known or un-
known and property loss wl:lich are or might have been embraced with-
in such claim; being compromise settlement of disputed liability
and damages.
