ORDINANCE NO. 1407.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF R.ENTON, WASHINGTON, AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 10639 RELATING TO THE DUTIES OF CITY OFFI-
CIALS AND PROVIDING THE HOURS DURING WHICH THE OFFICES OF
.CITY OFFICIALS SHALL BE OPEN.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
_SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 1063 of the City of Renton, entitled:
"An Ordinance of the City of Renton, defining the duties
of the City Clerk, City Treasurer City Attorney, City Eng-
ineer, Police Judge, Chief of Police, Health Officer and
Street and Water Superintendent, providing the hours dur-
ing which the offices of city officials shall be open and
repealing Ordinances No. 21+1 and 319,"
Be and is hereby amended in SECTION 1 - 1 as follows existing SECTION 1 - 1
of Ordinance No. 1063, reading as follows:
"Hours certain offices open: The office of the City
Clerk and the office of the City Treasurer shall be
kept open for business from 8:00 A.M. until 12:00 noon
and from 1:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. of each day. except
Sundays and legal holidays, except that such offices
shall close at 12:00 ozclock noon on Saturdays."
BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS:
AMENDED SECTION 1 :: 1: Hours certain offices open, The
office of the City Clerk and the office of the City Treasurer shall be
kept open for business from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. of each day except
Sundays and legal holida ys; the office of the City Clerk and the office
of the City Treasurer shall be kept closed on Saturdays.
SECTION 2: The Amendment in the preceding section is in pur-
suance of Chapter 3.00 of the Session Daws of the State of Washington of
1951.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect five (5)
days from and after its passage, approval and legal publication.
