ORDINANCE NO. 1414
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DECLARING THAT
AN EMERGENCY EXISTS AND APPROPRIATING MONIES FROM SEVERAL CITY
FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FOR PAYMENT OF THE NECESSARY
EXPENSES AND CAPITAL OUTLAY NECESSITATED BY SUCH EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, since the adoption of the 1951 annual budget of the
City of Renton, it has become necessary to provide for the purchase
of certain services, materials and structures, and to meet other
expenses, all of which were not forseeable at the time of the adoption
of the 1951 budget, including the necessity of acquiring and repairing
equipment, street maintenance, and the repair of defective bridge,
acquisition of structure on airport and other items;
AND WHEREAS it is necessary for the proper administration,
operation and maintenance of the City and its departments, to appro-
priate funds for and out of the several City funds as hereinafter set
forth, for the payment of such expenses and capital outlay, NOW THERE-
FORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON:
SECTION 1: That the foregoing recitals and facts are hereby
found and determined by the City Council to be true and existing, and
by reason thereof the Council does hereby declare that an emergency
exists.
SECTION 2: That there be and hereby are allowed and established
the following sums for expenditure in each of the following classifi-
cations established in said 1951 budget, and said sums are appropriated
for expenditure in the following classifications, same being in addi-
tion to the provisions of said 1951 annual budget, to -wit:

SECTION 3: This ordinance is an emergency ordinance which shall
not be voted upon until one week shall have elapsed after its intro-
duction, and a copy thereof shall be published as a proposed Ordinance,
together with a notice of the time set for voting thereon.
SECTION 4: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication*
