AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF R.ENTON, WASHINGTON,
ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF RENTON.
WIT-IEREAS, under the provisions of Chapter. 128 of the 1945 Session
Laws of the State of Washington, a petition_ in writing requesting that
certain property contiguous to the city limits of the City of Renton,
hereinafter more particularly described, be annexed to the City of
Renton, was presented �q the City Coia.ntil on the 2nd day of December
1952, bearing the signatures of the owners or more than seventy-five
per cent (75%) in value, to -wit, one hundred per cent (100%), accord-
ing to the assessed valuation for general taxation of the property
for which annexation is petitioned herein, which petition sets forth
the legal description of the property according to government legal
sub -division or plats, and is accompanied by plat or drawing outlin-
ing the boundaries of the territory petitioned to be annexed; and
the planning Commission of the City of Renton having considered and
recommended the annexing of said property to the City; ana
UILIEREAS, the City Council of the City. of Renton by resolu-
tion adopted at its regular meeting on December lo, 1952, fixed Tues-
day, January 6, 1953, at 6:00 o'clock R.M. at the City Council Chambers
in the City Hall in the City of Renton, Washington, as the time and
place for public hearing upon said petition, and notice of said hear-
ing specifying the time and place thereof, and inviting all interested
persons to appear thereat and voice approval or disapproval of or db-
jections to the proposed annexation, has been duly published as pro-
vided by law, and true copies of said notice having been duly posted
in three public places within the territory proposed for annexation
more than one week prior to said date of hearing; and
16THEREAS, pursuant to such resolution and notice, public hear-
ing on said petition has been held by the City Council of the CitZ7
of Renton at the time and place specified in aforesaid notice, to -wit:
the 6th day of January, 1953, at d:00 otclock P.M. in the Council
Chamber of the City Hall of the City of Renton, ana no objection
written or oral to the proposed annexation having been filen or
made at such hearing, ana the granting af' such petition being deemed
proper ana advisable; now therefore,
THE CITY CO UNCL L OF THE CITY OF RENTON Do onDAIN AS FOLLOIKS :
Section 1: Pursuant to provisions of Chapter 12th of the 1945
Session Laws of the State of Wash.in gton, it is determined that the
above mentioned petition ror annexation to the City of Renton of
the property and territory hereinbelow aescribed be and it is hereby
approved ana granted, and the following described property, being
contiguous to the city limits or the City of Renton situated in King
County, State of Wadi ingtor_, be ana the same is hereby annexed to
the City of Renton, effective on or after the 20th day of January 1953,
and on and after said date said territory shall constitute a part
of the City of Renton and shall be subject to all the laws and ordi-
nances or the City of Renton then thereafter enforced; said property
being described as follows:
A portion or Sect on lei, Township 23, North, Range
5, E.W.M., situated in King County, Washington, .and
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the southerly line
of 91st Place South and the east line of 91st Avenue
South, said point being in the existing Renton City
Limit line; thence north along the east line or 91st
Avenue South to the_ northwest corner of Tract 48 of
N.H.Latimer's Lake Washington Plat; thence east along
the north line of said Tract 4d to the easterly line
of State Highway No. 5, and existing Renton City Limit
Line# to point of beginning.
Section 2: The above aescribed annexed property contiguous to
Precinct No. 7 oi' Ward 1 of the City of Renton,, shall be ana
constitute a part or Precinct No. 7 or' Ward 1 or said City of
Renton.
Section 3: This ordinance shall be in cull force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and publication aProvided by law;
said annexation shall be ef'f'ective on and after the 20th day of
January, 1953; ana a certified copy or' this ordinance shall be filed
