AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF RENTON.
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Chapter 128 of the 1945
Session Laws of the State of Washington, a petition in writing

questing that certain property contiguous to the city limits oft the
City of Renton, hereinafter more particularly described, be annexed
to the City of Renton, was presented and filed with the 'City Council
on the 10th day of February 1953, bearing the signatures of the
owners of more than seventy-five percent (750) in value, to -wit 76,04%,
according to assessed valuation for general taxation of the property
for which annexation is petiticned herein, which petition sets forth
the legal description of the property according to government legal
sub -division or plats, and is accompanied by plat or drawing outlin-
ing the boundaries of the territory petitioned to be annexed; and the
Manning Commission of the City of Renton having considered and recom-
mended the annexing of said property to the City;. and
WHEREAS, the City Council of Renton by resolution adopted at its
regular meeting on March 24, 1953, fixed Tuesday, April 21, 1953, at
8:00 o'clock P.M. at the City Council Chambers in the City Hall in the
City of Renton, 'Washington, as the time and place for public hearing
upon said petition, and notice of said hearing specifying the time and
place thereof, and inviting all interested persons to appear thereat
and voice approval or disapprdVal of or objections to the proposed an-
nexati6n, has been duly published as provided by law, and true copies
of said notice have been duly posted in three public places within the
territory proposed for annexation more than one week prior to said date
of he a.ring * and
!*MREAS, pursuant to such resolution and notice a public hearing
on' said petition has been held by the City Council of the City of Renton
at the time and place specified in aforesaid notice, to -wit: the 21st
day of April 1953 at 8:00 otclock P.M., and no objection written or
oral to the proposed annexation having been filed or made at such
hearing, and the granting of said petition being deemed proper and
advisable; not therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RENT ON AS FOLLOWS:
Section.: Pursuant to provisions of Chapter 128 d' the 1945
Session Laws of the .State of Washington, it is determined that the
above mentioned petition for annexation to the City of Renton of the
property and territory hereinbelow described be and it is hereby ap-
proved and granted, and the following described property, being conti-
guous to the city limits of the City of Renton situated in King County,
State of Washington, be and the sarrm is hereby annexed to the City of
Renton, effective on or after the 30t1day of April 1953, and on and af-
ter said date said territory shall constitute a part of the City of
Renton and shall be subject to all the laws and ordinances of the City
of Renton then thereafter enforced; said property being described as
f of l ows :
The North one-third of the following described property:
The Northeast one-quarter of the Southeast one-quarter
of Section 9, Township 23, North Range 5 E.Wo ., Less the
South 15 acres thereof.
The South one-half of the Southwest one-quarter of the
Southeast one-quarter of the Northeast one-quarter of Sec-
tion 9, Township 23, North Range 5, E.T.M.
The Southeast one-quarter of the Southeast one-quarter of the
Northeast one-quarter of Section 9, Township 23, North Range
5, E.W.M.
The West 360 feet of the South 90 feet of the Northeast one-
quarter of the Southeast one-quarter of the Northeast one-
quarter of Section 9, Township 23, North Range -,5 ER.W.M.
Section
2:
The
above
described annexed
property contiguous
to
Precinct No.
20
of
Ward
1 of the City
of Renton, shall be
and
constitute a part of Precinct No. 20 pf Vard 1 of said City of
Renton.
Section 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from

and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law;
and said annexation shall be effective on and after the 30th day of
April, 1953; and a certified copy of this ordinance shall be filed
with the Board of County Commissioners of King County, Washington,
as provided by law.
