ORDINANCE NO. 1468.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
STATE OF WASHINGTON, CREATING AND
ESTABLISHING A SPECIAL PAYROLL FUND
FOR THE PURPOSE OF PAYING MONIES DUE
CITY EMPLOYEES FOR SALARIES AND WAGES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That there be and hereby is established in the office
of thei�reasurer, pursuant to Chapter 27 of the 1953 Session Laws
of the State of Washington, a special fund, to be known and designated
as the "Payroll Fund" for the purpose of paying any monies due city
employees for salaries and wages.
Section 2. All monies placed in said "Payroll Fund" as directed
by the City Council of the City of Renton from time to time may be drawn
upon by warrants and may be cashed for the purpose of paying any monies
due city employees for salaries and wages: Monies placed in said. "Payroll
Fund" may be drawn from any other funds available.
Section 3. The City Treasurer is authorized to deposit, place and
keep in said "Payroll Fund" such sums or funds as may be received or
available :for the purpose of paying salaries and wages. The accounts of
said "Payroll Fund" shall be kept and maintained in such manner as to
show the department or departments and respective amounts for which each
payment or warrant is issued and payable.
Section . Any and all transfers from an insolvent fund to said
"Payrol�Fun shall be by warrant.
Section 54 This Ordinance shall become effective on the first day
of January, 1954, and after its passage, approval and publication as
required by law.
