ORDINANCE NO. 1518
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN
PROPERTIES IN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM R -S USE TO
R-1 USE.
WHEREAS under Ordinance No. 1472 and the maps adopted in con-
junction therewith, as amended,'the properties hereinbelow described have
heretofore been zoned as R -S (Residence single family district); and
WHEREAS under the provisions of Ordinance No. 1472 the City
Council of the City of Renton held a public hearing on May 17: 1955, at
the hour of 8 ofclock p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City of Renton
pursuant to published notice of hearing, and the Planning Commission of
the City of Renton having duly approved such change of classification,
and no protest having been filed or made at or prior to such public hearing,
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL,, OF THE CITY OF
RENTON AS FOLLOWS:
;SECTION I: The following described property in the City 'of Renton
is hereby re -zoned and re-classified as an R-1 residence district, and the
City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Renton to reflect this change; said
property being described as follows:
The area between the north line of Cedar River Commercial
Waterway No. 2, and the south line of 6th Avenue North and
lying between the east line of Burnett Street and the west
line of the alley between Park Street and Pelly Street;
EXCEPT Lots 14, 15, 16 and 17, Block 10 and Lot 21, Block 2,
and Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4, Block 1t all in Renton Farm Plat No. 1.
SEC`T'ION II: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and legal publication.
