HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1546. ^ } Amended by ORD 4462 ORDINANCE NO. 1546 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, RELATING TO PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY, DEFINING "DELINQUENT CHILD" AND "DELINQUENCYtt, AND PRO- VIDING FOR -THE VIOLATION THEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. For the purposes of this Ordinance the term "delinquent child" shall mean any child under the age of 18 years who violates any law of this State or Ordinance of the City of Renton defining a crime, or who habitually uses vile, obscene, vulgar, profane, or indecent language, or is guilty of immoral conduct; and the term ttdelinquencytt shall mean any such act or conduct constituting any such child a "delinquent child". SECTION 2. Any parent, legal guardian, or person having custody of the child, or any other person, who by any act or omission encourages, causes, or con- tributes to the delinquency;of any delinquent child as herein defined shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine in a sum not exceeding One Hundred Dollars ($100.00), or by imprisonment in the City Jail for a period not exceeding thirty (30) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
