ORDINANCE NO. 1.55.3
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM RESIDENCE
SINGLE FAMILY DISTRICT TO BUSINESS USE DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, under Ordinance No. 1472, as amended, and the maps
adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelmoi described has
heretofore been zoned as Residential Single Family District (R -S, now
evidenced by symbol R-1); and
WHEREAS,.under the provisions of Ordinance No. 1472, as amended,
a proper petition for change ofaone classification of said property to
Business Use District (B-1) has been filed with the City Clerk of the City
of Renton, and the Planning Commission of said City having duly approved
such change of classification, and a public hearing having been held
thereon by the Planning Conm.ission on the 11th day of July, 1956, pursuant
to notice of hearing duly published and posted, as provided by law, and no
protests or objections having been filed or made; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RENTON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The following described property in the City of
Renton is hereby re -zoned and re-classified from Single Family Residence
Use District to BUSINESS DISTRICT (B-1), and the City Engineer is hereby
authorized and directed to change the maps of the zoning ordinance of the
City to show and evidence this change; said property being described as
follows:
A tract of land, the boundaries of said tract being the
east line of Lake Street, the west line of Shattuck Street,
the north line of Tobin Avenue, and the south line of
Tillicum Avenue, all located within the City of Renton,
King County, State of Washington.
and said re -zoning: being subject .to the provisions of Ordinance No. 1472,
as amended by Ordinance No. 15.2.
SECTIOiv !I: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and legal publication.
