ORDINANCE N0. 1564
AN ORDINANCE OF.THE CITY OF RENTON, (WASHINGTON,
AtMNDING ORDINANCE NO. 1358, AS, AMENDED, RELATING
TO PRECINCT.BOUNDARIES AND ESTABLISHING A NEW
PRECINCT, TO BEKNOWN AS PRECINCT NO. 26.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS: -�
SECTION I. Ordinance No. 1358, as amended by Ordinances Nos. 1434 and 1531
is hereby amended by establishing and designating a new precinct, to be known
henceforth as Precinct No. 26 which precinct boundaries read as follows:
PRECINCT NO. 26: Beginning at a point on the center line of 7th Avenue
150 feet west of Shattuck Street; thence easterly along the center line
of 7th Avenue 383.42,feet; thence south 660 feet; thence east to Cedar
Street; thence south along Cedar Street to 8th Avenue produced west;
thence east along 8th Avenue produced west to Renton Street; thence south
along Renton Street 400 feet; thence east to Grant Street; thence south
to 9th Avenue; thence east to Jones Street; thence north on Jones Street
to 7th Avenue; thence east on 7th Avenue to the northeast corner of the
northwest quarter of Section 20, Township 23 North, Range 5 E.W.M.; thence
south along the section line to the center of Section 20, Township 23 N.,
Range 5 E.W.M.; thence west along the section line to the Benson Road;
thence south along the Benson Road to the south line of Section 20-23-.5;
thence west along the south line of Section 20-23-5 to 100th Avenue S. E.;
thence north along 100th Avenue S.E. to the south line of Tract 8, Re&on
Cooperative Coal Company's Plat No. 2; thence west along the south li of
Tracts 8, 23, 35, and 62, Renton Cooperative Coal Company's Plat No. 2 to
96th Avenue South; thence south along 96th Avenue South to the north line
of Tract 72, Renton cooperative Coal Company's Plat No.. 2; thence west along
the north line of said Tract 72 -to the west line of said tract; thence south
along the west line of said Tract 72 to South 160th Street; thence west
along South 160th Street to 92nd Avenue South (P.S.H. No. 5); thence north
along 92nd Avenue South to South 156th Street thence east along South 156th
Street to the west line of Lot 42, Block 79 C. D. Hillman's Earlington
Gardens Division No. 1; thence northerly along the west lines of Lots 42 to
64 inclusive, Block 7, C. D. Hillman's Earlington Gardens Division No. 1
to the south line of Lot 10, said Block 7; thence east along the south line
of Lots 10 to 7, inclusive, said Block 7 to the east line of said Lot 7;
thence north along east line of said Lot 7 to South 150th Place; thence east
to 94th Avenue South; thence north along 94th Avenue South to South 148th
Street; thence west along South 148th Street to 92nd Avenue South (P.S.H. No.. 5);
thence north along 92nd Avenue South and continuing northeasterly along 92nd
Place South to 6th Avenue produced west; thence east along 6th Avenue
produced west to a line parallel and 150 feet west of Shattuck Street; thence
south along said line parallel and 150 feet west of Shattuck Street to th4,
center line of 7th Avenue, the point of beginning.
SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval and legal publication.
SECTION III. A certified copy of this ordinance shall be transmitted by the
City Clerk of the City of Renton to the Ring County Election Board.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 18th dav of September, 1956.
