PROVIDING FOR TRANSFER OF FUNDS BETiEEii GENERAL
CLASSES AND "EXPENDITURES.

BE IT ORDAINED BY TEE MAYOR A14D THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RENT ON AS FOLLO14 S :
SECTION I: For the purpose of providing additional funds for the
maintenance and operation of the below mentioned departments and in
order to meet certain obligations and expenditures which were not for -
seeable at the time of the adoption of the 1v56 budget, including
expenditures incurred for the preservation of public health and sanita-
tion and to provide adequate lighting on the City streets, it is hereby
found necessary for the proper administration, operation and mainten-
ance of the City and said departments to transfer funds between general
classes as hereinbelow provided and as authorized by Chapter 322 of the
1955 Session Laws of the State of Washington, and such transfers are
found to be in the best public interest.
SECTION II: The City Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed
to make and execute the following transfer of funds, to -wit:
(a) To transfer the sum of $850.00 from "Maintenance and
Operations".of the Legal Department (Current Expense Fund -Special
Legal Assistance) unto "Maintenance and Operations" of the Sanita-
tion Department (Current Expense Fund; gas, oil and brooms).
(b) To transfer the sum of 0,000.00 from "Maintenance and
Operations" of the Shop Equipment Rental Revolving Fund (Main-
tenance and Operation --Amortization) unto "Current Expense Fund"
(non -departmental items) "Maintenance and Operations" for Street
lighting expenses.
SECTION III: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and legal publication.
