AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
CHANGING.`lE E ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROF
ERTIES WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM RESIDENCE
SINGLE, FAMILY DISTRICT (R-1) TO RESIDENCE 'DISTRICT
(R-2).
WHEREAS, under Ordinance No. 1472, as amended, and the maps
adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described
has heretofore been zoned as Residence Single Family District (R-1);
and
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Ordinance No. 1472, as amended,
a petition for change of zone classification of said property to Resi-
dence District (R-2), together with special permit,for the construction
of an..office building has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of
Renton, and the Planning Corimission having heretofore determined and
found that such rezoning and special permit will not be unduly detri-
and
mental to adjacent/surrounding properties, and the Planning Commission
having thus duly approved such change of classification after public
hearing having been held thereon by the corrLmission on January 30, 1957,
pursuant to notice of hearing duly published and posted as provided by
law, and no protests or objections having been filed or made; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RENTON, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The following described property in the City of
Renton is hereby rezoned and re-classified from Residence Single
Family District (R-1) to Residence District (R-2), together with
special permit for the construction of an office building on portions
of property hereinbelow described, and all in compliance wit4 the laws
and ordinances of the City of Renton; and the Planning Commission of
the City of Renton having heretofore made its finding that the issuance
of such special permit for the construction of an office building thereon

and
will not be unduly detrimental to adjacent surrounding.properties;
and the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to change the
maps of -the zoning ordinance of the City of Renton to show and evidence
these changes; said properties being described as follows:
From Residence Single Family'District (R-1) to
Residence District (R-2)
Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7, Block 1, and Lots 1,
2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7, Block 2, and the remaining
portion of Block 3, all in Smither's 6th Addition
to Renton,
and said rezoning is subject to the provisions of. Ordinance No. 1472
as amended by Ordinance No. 1542.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and legal publication.
