AN ORDINANCE OF TIM CI TY Or RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHAiNGING TIE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN TIE CITY OF RENTON FROM RESIDENCE SINGLE FAMILY DISTRICT (R-1) TO RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R-2) AND BUSINESS DISTRICT (B-1). WHEREAS, under Ordinance No. 1472, as amended, and the maps l adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has heretofore been zoned as Residence Single Family District (R-1); and WHEREAS, under the provisions of Ordinance No. 1472, as amended, a proper petition for change of zone classification of said property to Residence District (R-2) and Business District (B-1) has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton, which petition was then duly amended by said petitbner, and the Planning Commission of said City having duly approved such change of classifications of said parcels of property as hereinafter described, after public hearing having been held thereon by the Planning Commission of the City of Renton on Jan- uary 30, 10,57, pursuant to notice of hearing duly publishedand posted as provided by law, and no protests or objections having been filed or made; NOW, THEREFORE, EREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND `1TEv CITY- COUNCIL OF allE CITY OF RENTON, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I: The following described parcels of property in the City of Renton are hereby rezoned as hereinbelow described; and the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the zoning ordinance of the City of Renton to show and evidence these changes; said properties being described as follows: From Residence Single Family District (R-1) to Residence District (R -2.j, the uizplatted-property iy- ing between the east line of the PdLget Sound Power and Light Company transmission lain right of way easement and the west line of Shepard Heights Addition, and ex- tending from 12th Avenue North to Sunset Boulevard East. -1- From Residence Single Family District (R-1) to Business District (B-1) , the unplatted property ly- ing west of,the east line of the Puget,Sound Power and Light Company transmission line right of way easement, between -12th Avenue North and Sunset Boulevard East. and said rezoning is subject to the provisions of Ordinance No. 1472 as amended by Ordinance No. 1512. SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and legal publication. PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 19th day of February, 1957. Elton L.
