AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY
WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM SUBURBAN RESIDENCE (201)
TO.BUSINESS DISTRICT (B-1)
WHEREAS, under Ordinance No. 1472, as amended, and the maps
adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described
has heretofore been zoned as Suburban Residence (SR -1); and
WHEREAS, under the provisions of the aforementioned ordinance,
as amended, a proper petition for change of zone classification of said
property to Business District (B-1) has been filed with the City Clerk
of the City of Renton, on or about May 22, 1957, which Petition was then
duly submitted.to the Planning Commission of the City of Renton for in-
vestigation and study, and a public hearing having been held thereon on
June 12, 1957, at 8:00 P. M., in the Council Chambers of the City of
Renton, which hearing was continued to June 26, 1957, all pursuant to
notice of hearing duly published and posted as provided by law, and
said Planning Commission having duly considered and studied said Petition
and having made a thorough investigation of the premises, and having duly
considered all protests and objections, oral and written, together with
all petitions in favor of and opposed to such rezoning, and the City
Planning Commission having unanimously recommended to the City Council
to rezone said property as requested, and said rezoning being deemed in
the public interest; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE C[TY OF
RENTON, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The following described parcel of property in the
City of Renton is hereby rezoned to Business District (B-1); and the
City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the
zoning ordinances of the City of Renton to show and evidence these
changes; and it is hereby found and determined that such rezoning is in
the best public interest; said property being described as follows:

Block Thirty-nine (39) of Renton Highlands as
per corrected plat of -Renton Highlands No. 2,
an addition to the City of Renton, as per plat
recorded on August 8, 1956, in Volume 57 of Plats,
pages 92 to 98, inclusive, all located in the City
of Renton, King County, Washington.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and legal publication.
