HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1768r ORDINANCE NO. 1110T AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM RESIDENCE DISTRICT (Rt.7.2), AGRICULTURE (A.•1) and RESIDENCE -AGRICULTURE (R�-A)7) BUSINESS DISTRICT (B1). WHEREAS, under Ordinance No. 1472, as amended, and the maps adopted in con.- junction on» junction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has heretofore been zoned RESIDENCE DISTRICT, AGRICULTURE and_RESIDENCE«AGRICULTURE, known as R»7.2, Ail and R -A, respectively, under the King County Zoning Regulations; and WHEREAS, under the provisions of the aforementioned Ordinance, as amended, a proper petition for change of zone classfication of said property to BUSINESS DISTRICT (B1) has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton.on or about May 4, 1959, which petition was then duly submitted to.the Planning Commission for investigation, public hearing and study, and A public hearing having been held thereon on or .about May 27, 1959, in the Council -Chambers of the City of Renton, all pursuant to Notice of Hearing duly published and posted as provided by law, and said Planning Commission having duly considered and studied said Petition and there being no protests, oral or written, thereto; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I: The following described parcels of property in the -City of Renton are hereby rezoned .to BUSINESS DISTRICT (B1) as specified below; the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the zoning ordinances of the City of Renton to evidence this rezoning; said property being described as f o l lows : From RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R-7.2) to BUSINESS DISTRICT (B1): A tract of land abutting the north line of South 180th Street, the north line of said tract 120 feet north and parallel to South 180th Street, and extending east from the east line of Secondary State Highway 5MM to the west line of Puget Sound Electric Railway Right of Way, and, From AGRICULTURE (A«•1) and RESIDENCE»AGRICULTURE DISTRICT (R -.A) to BUSINESS DISTRICT (B1): A tract of land abutting the north line of South.180th Street, the north line of said tract 300 feet north .and parallel to South 180th. Street, and extending east from the west line of Puget Sound Electric Railway Right of Way to the west line of 78th.Avenue South,.all located in Section 36, Township -23 North,,Range 4 - East W.M.,.Renton, King £ounty,;Washington, said rezoning to be subject to the laws and ordinances of the City of"Renton and -I- in compliance with the plans and specifications heretofore submitted by _Petitioner« owner of said property. SECTION Ii: This Ordinance shall be in.full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and legal publication.
