ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,.CHANGING
THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES WITHIN THE
CITY OF RENTON FROM RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R..3) TO RESIDENCE
DISTRICT (R..4) MULTIPLE DWELLINGS.
WHEREAS, under Ordinance No. 1472, as amended, and the maps adopted in
conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has heretofore been zoned
as RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R3); and
.WHEREAS, under the provisions of the aforementioned -Ordinance, as amended,
the City Council of the City of Renton upon its own motion and upon the request of
the Planning Commission, and after due .consideration thereof, petitioned for change
of zone classification of said properties to RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R4) MULTIPLE
DWELLINGS, and the City Clerk having been directed and authorized to duly publish
and post notices as provided by law;.and
WHEREAS, the 7th day of July, 1959, was fixed by the -City Council as the
date of hearing on said motion, and due notice of said hearing having been published
and posted as provided by law, and the Planning Commission of the City of.Renton
having recommended said rezoning, and the City Council having duly considered said
matter at said hearing, and there being no protest thereto, and said rezoning
is found and determined to be in the public interest, NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The following described parcel of property in the City of
Renton is hereby rezoned to RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R4) MULTIPLE DWELLINGS, and the City
Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance
of the City of Renton to show and evidence these changes; said property being
described as follows:
That certain parcel of property bounded on the North by the right"
of -way of the Pacific Coast Railroad; onr_ the East by the alley be.
tween Smithers and Burnett -Streets; on the South by Seventh Avenue
and on the West by Shattuck Street, but excepting therefrom the
South half of Tract A.of Block 6, Smithers Fifth Addition to Renton
all located in Renton, King County, Washington.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and legal publication.
