13 Feb 2012 Exhibits: King County Boundary Review Board Closing Letter Map Ordinance Submitting Data: Dept/Div/Board: Community and Economic Development Staff Contact: Angie Mathais, x6576 Recommended Action: Council concur Fiscal Impact: Expenditure Required: $ Transfer Amendment: $ Amount Budgeted: $ Revenue Generated: $ Total Project Budget: $ City Share Total Project: $ SUMMARY OF ACTION: On October 17, 2011, City Council held a public hearing in the matter of the proposed Fairlane Woods Annexation. Following that public hearing, Council accepted the 60% petition and authorized the Administration to forward a Notice of Intent to the King County Boundary Review Board (BRB). On January 12, 2012, the BRB issued a Closing Letter for Completed Action indicating its approval of the annexation. The next step for this proposed annexation is for Council to adopt the ordinance annexing the area to the City. The area was pre-zoned Residential Four Dwelling Units per Acre (R-4) as part of Ordinance #5561 and the Fairwood pre-zone. The R-4 zoning will become effective upon annexation. City departments conducted a review of the annexation proposal and all departments indicated that the annexation represents a logical extension of services and raised no concerns. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Adopt the ordinance annexing the Fairlane Woods Annexation Area. 6c. ‐ Community and Economic Development Department submits King  County Boundary Review Board Closing Letter regarding the proposed Page 11 of 49 6c. ‐ Community and Economic Development Department submits King  County Boundary Review Board Closing Letter regarding the proposed Page 12 of 49 6c. ‐ Community and Economic Development Department submits King  County Boundary Review Board Closing Letter regarding the proposed Page 13 of 49 6c. ‐ Community and Economic Development Department submits King  County Boundary Review Board Closing Letter regarding the proposed Page 14 of 49 1 CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON ORDINANCE NO. ________ AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY OF THE CITY OF RENTON (FAIRLANE WOODS ANNEXATION; FILE NO.
