The City Council of the City of Renton Do Ordain as Follows:
SECTIGN l. Cont�.gious Diseases. Tt sha.11 be the duty of
every practicing physicia,n in the City of Renton to no-tify the
Health Officer of every case of cont�.gious or infectious disease
in the City ��ithin twelve (l�) hours after the existence of such
d�.sease shall come to his knov�led�e. Should any physicia.n refuse or
neglect to comply v�ith ,rules af this section, he shall upon convictior �I
be fined in any sum not to exceed one hundred (�100.OQ} dollars, II
provic�ed ho�Tever, that the words "contagious ar irlfectious diseases4i ',
shall be construed to mean all conta.gious diseases, namely, Chick�n I
Pori, Diphtheria, German Measles, I�easles, �eningococcus (14�eningitis) ,
Mumps, Poliomyelitis (hcute Anterior) , Scarlet Fever, Septic Sore
Thro�.t, Snall-pox, 6'��oo�ing Cough, Typhoi.�, TubercUlosis, or any
o�her strictly dangerous ar cont�.giaus diseass only.
SECTION 2. It shall be the duty of the o4�ner ar occupant of any
house, store, bvilding or tenement in the City in ��hich any �erson
v��ro �ay be or who has arly of the contagious ar infectieus disea.ses
� mentioned in the proceeding section, to give notice to the Health I�
Officer a�ithin_twenty-four (24} hvurs after the existence of such
disease sha11 have cor�e to his knot,rledge and give notice to the
public immediately of the e�istence of such disease by placing �.t
or near the entrance of such builciing, a yelloti� card at 7east 12
inches by 18 inches, advising the public that such building is cuaran-
tined. Any such ovmer or oceupant ���ho shall fail or refuse to give

such natice as �.foresaid,, shdll be fined in any sum not to exceed
one hundred (�100.00) dollars. The City Clerk snall, upon applic�.ticn
therefore, furnish such card to the o�rrner ar occupant cf such building.
SECTIOTd 3. Any person having any can.tagious dis�ase, who
shall go out in public or pass fron house to house or from bu3.lding to
building or appear in any public place in the City until he shall have ,
so far recovered from such disease as to preclude all danger af infection,
sh�.Il be guilty of a misclemear�or and shall be f�ned in �.ny sum not �o
exceed one hundred (�1G0.00) dollars
S�CTIC�N 4. Any person v�ho shall knoEFri.ngly sell any kind of I
�� diseased, corrupted or unv�rholesome provisions whether for eat or drink I
without making the condition of the same fully kno�vn. to the buyer,
shall upon conviction be fined in any sum not exceeciing one hundred
(�:,1G0.00) dollars and imprisoned not longer than thirty (30) days or
' punished by both such fine and imprisonment.
' SECTION 5. That Ordinance No. 22, passed and approved November 5,
1901 shall be and the same is hereby expressly repealed.
SECTTON 6. This �rdinance shall be in full force and effect five
(5) days from and after its passa.ge, approval and legal publication.
