ADDENDUM NO. 1
ENGINEERING CONSULTANT AGREEMENT
FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
for
Replace Highlands Reservoir Site Emergency Electrical Power Generator

This Addendum is made and entered into this 1U , day of (� rt, by and between the City of

Renton, hereinafter called the "City", and RH2 Engineering, Inc., whose address is, 22722—29th Drive
SE, 210, Bothell, WA 98021, hereinafter called the "Consultant".
WITNESSETH THAT:
WHEREAS, the City engaged the services of the consultant under Engineering Consultant Agreement
CAG-14-137, dated October 17, 2014, to provide engineering services necessary for project WTR-27-
03759, Replace Highlands Reservoir Site Emergency Electrical Power Generator; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to complete the work associated with project WTR-27-03759, Replace
Highlands Reservoir Site Emergency Electrical Power Generator, and the City does not have sufficient
qualified engineering employees to perform the work within a reasonable time; and
WHEREAS, the City and consultant have determined that additional services are required to complete
the work items listed in Exhibit A Scope of Services under the original contract CAG-14-137, dated
October 17, 2014;
NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Section VIII Extra Work of the Master Agreement CAG-14-137,
dated October 17, 2014, it is mutually agreed upon that Engineering Consultant Agreement CAG-14-
137, is amended to include the work and associated budget as follows:
1. The Scope of Work (Section I of the Master Agreement CAG-14-137) is modified to include the
additional services on the attached Exhibit A.
2. The Payment (Section VI of the Master Agreement CAG-14-137) is modified to include payment
for the additional work items defined in Exhibit A. The revised contract total payable for work on
this contract addendum is increased from $48,980, to $73,358, making a difference of$24,378.
The maximum amount payable for the additional work items defined in Exhibit A of this contract
addendum is $24,378, without prior authorization from the City.
3. The Time of Completion (Section V of the Master Agreement CAG-14-137) for the above
referenced contract is extended until December 31, 2016
All other provisions of Consultant Agreement CAG-14-137 dated October 17, 2014, shall apply to this
addendum.

Additional Design Work

PROJECT SCOPE
This Scope of Work includes the following estimate of services during design:
Task 7—Additional Design Work
Objective: Provide additional design,plans and specifications for electrical items.Additional design work is
necessary to facilitate power for a required stormwater pump station and other electrical equipment requiring
backup power. Provide landscaping and screening design,plans and specifications for requirements for such
that were identified during the review of the project for SEPA, the Conditional Use Permit and Site Plan
approval.
Approach:
7.1 Provide supplemental design details for the following construction items on the project:
• Utility meter relocation details.
• Power for stormwater pump station.
• Power for the AMI system collector radio
• Add surge protection device to pump station electrical system.
• Additional fiber optic system improvements details.
• Add landscaping plan, details and specifications.
• Add screening plan, details and specifications.
• Extra assistance with permitting.
• Prepare rendering drawing of proposed improvements.
RI-12 Deliverables:
• Landscaping plan,details and specifications.
• Screening plan,details and specifications.
• Rendered drawings showing the proposed improvements to be used with permit submittal.
• Updated electrical plans for the 100 percent review.
