� ROADWAY RESERVATION AGREEMENT �

�HIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this o��a day of "
��� , 1993, between King County, hereinafter called the "County", and �
the City of Renton, Washington, hereinafter called the "City"; �

WHEREAS, the County is planning improvements to its property located Q
at 155 Monroe Avenue within the City, and \ �

WHEREAS, the City, in order to mitigate local and regional �
transportation impacts, requires the County to reserve a porti'on of its �
pYuN�itj/ f�i �utar2 acqu�si�;on an� use by the C�t; f�r devel�pment of a �
Monroe Avenue extension, and �`

NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the terms, conditions, covenants,
and performance contained herein, IT IS MUTUALLY AGREED 1�S FOLLOWS:

The County shall reserve a portion of its property at 155 Monroe
� Avenue as defined in Exhibit A of this agreement. i
� In the event that the City does not exercise its option to purchase I
� this reserved County property within ten years, the reservation may be
� removed by the County and the property utilized for other approved uses.

In the event that the City installs the roadway within a ten year
period from the approval of Phase I of the development, the City will pay to �
the County the fair market value (at the date of purchase) of the property
designated for the Monroe Avenue extension and will also pay fair market

which is rendered unusable as a result of the roadway extension.
III
No liability shall attach to the County or the City by reason of
entering into this agreement except as expressly provided herein.
