IN CONNECTTON THERE�'�TTF��AND T�IE 'ISSUl�NCE OF 'A PER�IIIT THEREFOR,
AND PROVIDING A PENAT,TY FOR UTOLATION HEREOF. '
The Cityr Council of the City of Renton Do O�dain as Follows:
SECTION 1. Any person desiring to break a street curb in i
the Gi�;y of Rer�ton, ,Washington, shall file a written application
for permission so to do with the City Clerk and shall at the
same time deposit with said Cl�rk, the s�.zm of �25.00 to insur�
the performance of the necessary �SJork to be done in cor�nectian
' therewith.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall issue said permit after the
same shall have been approved by the Street and �Gater Superintendent.
S�CTIOTd 3. The breaking of such curb and the completion of
. the necessary construction �vork in connection therew�ith., including ,
the reconstruction of the sidewalk, shall be under the imm.ediate
stapervision anct direction of the Street and �later Superintendent
and such work shall be done by the applicant as shall be directed
by said Street and Water Superintendent.
SECTION 4. Tn case the applicant shall refuse to comp�.ete
the necessary v�ork in connection i�ith such curb breaking as directed
by the Street and �ater Superinte�dent, the�., and in that e�rent,
sucYi ��ork shall be perforned by the City and the cost t��ereof
s��.all be deducted f�om the �25.00 deposit as aforesaid.
SECTION 5. �,(h.en.ever the Street ar�d 4�ater Supsrintendent
shall in �riting notify the City Clerk that the �Tork has been !
completed as directed by. him, said sum of �25.00 shall be returned
by the Clerk to the applicant. In case it is necessa.ry for t�.e

�ity to perform any labor in connection with the completion oP
said curb bre�king, the cost thereof shall be deducted from sazd
sum of �25.00 anfl the balance remaining returned to the applicant.
Section 6 : Any person who sha11 break a curb in the City
of Renton, T�dashington, without applging f'or a permit sa to do
as provided herein, shall be quilty of a misdemeanor and shall
be fined in any sum not to e�ceed �100.00 or i.mprisoned not to
exceed thirty (30) days or bc� both so fined and imprisoned. �
Section 7: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
five (5) days from and after its pa�sage, approval and legal
publication.
