Final Payment Letter from the Public Works Department presents final estimate

Tank due to B-G Paint Co. The letter recommended acceptance of the
CAG #041-80 project, final payment and refund of retained amount, if after
' 30 days no liens or claims are filed against the project and
tax receipts are fited. Council concur.
Fire Prevention Proclamation of Mayor Shinpoch declared 10/5 through 10/li/80
as Fire Prevention Week. Council concur.
Release of Letter from Public Works Department Engineer R. Houghton requested
Easement approval for release of easement located between Lots 6 and 7,
Orillia Block l , Burlington Northern Orillia lndustrial Park #1 . The
Industrial Park letter noted a lot line adjustment has negated the easement in
its present location and the City no longer needs the easement.

Planning Letter from the Planning Director Ericksen requested authoriza-

King Subregional Letter from the Planning Director presented the King Subregional
Plan Plan and explained the i.n-depth review by the Planninq Commission.
(Council referral to the Commission 1/21/80) . The Planning
Commission recommended concurrence in the goals and policies of
the King Subregional Plan subject to the comments and evaluations ,
noted in the document. Refer to the Planning and Development �
Committee.

r Planning Letter from Planning Director Ericksen presented the Planning
t Commission Commission Annual Report 1979-1980 in compliance with Ordinance
Annual Report No. 3076. The letter noted report is to bring the Mayor and
. Council up to date on the program activities of the Commission
and to look at future objectives, both short and long range.
Damages Claim Claim for Damages was filed by Robert Undsderfer, 1021 N 38th,
in amount of $181 .07 for tire damage. Refer to the City Attorneyc

in amount of $1 ,000,000 for death of daughter who was a passenger
on a motorcycle being pursued. Refer to City Attorney and '

L!D #312 Street Letter from City Clerk Mead noted receipt of final assessment
Improvements roll for LID No. 312 street improvements for the West Valley
West Valley Hwy Highway; roll in the amount of $218,069. 17e The letter requested
public hearing on the final roli be set for October 20, 1980.

CORRESPONDENCE AND CURRENT BUSINESS
Deak Letter from Andrew Deak, M.D. , Talbot Road Properties, 4500
Latecomer' s Talbot Rd. S, explained recent completed medical building at
Request. 4509 Talbot Rd. S. , that he was required by the Comprehensive
Plan to install oversized waterline which is of benefit also
to adjacent properties. The letter requested he be granted the
costs of oversizing for the larger than required waterlines and
also a latercomer's agreement for ten years for the use of the
, waterlone by adjacent properties, MOVED BY CLYMER, SECOND ,
TRIMM, REFER THIS REQUEST TO THE UTILITIES COMMITTEE. CARRIED. '
Garbage Pickup Letter from Linda Sanford, 904 Ferndale Circle NE, requested
Overcharge rebate of $22.68 claiming overcharge for garbage pickup from
Claimed March 22, 1979 until recent rate change. The letter claimed ,
garbage pickup had been requested for one can and the billing
had been for two cans. MOVED BY CLYMER, SECOND TRIMM, COUNCIL
REFER THE LETTER TO THE ADMINISTRATION FOR RESPONSE. CARRIED.
Alley in area Letter from Jon E. Troxel , Owner, Sunset Vista Apartments, 922
of Sunset Vista Glennwood Ave. NE, expressed concern due to a new Taco Bell
Apartments restaurant located at the corner of Harrington and NE Sunset Blvd
in the Renton Highlands and its impact on the alley immediately
behind (parallel to Harrington NE, running from Sunset Blvd. to
NE 9th Street) . The letter expressed concerns for safety of the
tenants and children and fear that the alley would become a
hazard or nuisance, also noting danger of "retention pond" for
drainage. Mr. Troxel asked to be notified of any building on
adjacent property by mini-mart business, and asked for�closure
of the alley. MOVED BY CLYMER, SECOND ROCKHILL, REFER LETTER TO
THE ADMINISTRATION FOR REPLY. Councilman Stredicke inquired
regarding access of the business to the alley and asked what
� action had been taken on the matter to date, noting need for
immediate action. Stredicke requested copy of ,letter prior to .
next Monday. MOTION CARRIED.
Police Auction Letter from Police Chief Darby called attention to Police
Department auction of unclaimed property Tuesday, 10/7/80 at
7:00 p.m. The letter noted newspaper and news media will be
carrying the auction which will be conducted in accordance
