Project Description: The applicants are proposing to hold a carnival in their parking lot on
Saturday, August 14, 2004. They would like to cover approximately half of the bowling alley
parking spaces, leaving approximately 40 parking spaces free for parking. The carnival attractions
would include booths, a stage, inflatable bouncers and a dunk tank. The applicants are proposing'
to construct the stage on August 13, 2004, the day before the carnival, between the hours of 8am
to Spm. On Saturday, August 14th they would like to rope off part of their parking lot at 9 am for
set-up. They are proposing to start the carnival at noon and end it at 6pm. The carnival would be
removed by llpm on Saturday, August 14, 2004.

The applicants are proposing to hold a carnival in the parking lot of the Hillcrest Bowling
Alley on Saturday, August 14, 2004. Approximately half of the bowling alley parking lot
spaces would be utilized for the carnival, leaving approximately 40 parking spaces free
for parking. The carnival attractions would include booths, a stage, inflatable bouncers
and a dunk tank. The applicants are proposing to construct the stage on August 13,
2004 between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. On Saturday, August 14th set-up for
the carnival would begin at 9:00 am. The carnival is proposed to operate from 12 noon
to 6:00 pm. The carnival would be removed by 11pm on Saturday, August 14, 2004.
Date of Permit Issuance: August 9, 2004.
Date of ~xpiration: August 15, 2004.
Conditions of Approval:
1. Pursuant to RMC 4-9-240M, the applicant shall be required to restore the site to its
original condition upon project completion.

Project Narrative
Hillcrest Family Bowling Center and Renton Area Youth Services are working
together to organize the Family Fun Festival which will be held on August 14,2004.
The event is free to the public and all the activities will be taking place in the parking lot
of the bowling center. Some of the attractions include a live concert by Tim Noah,
inflatable bouncers, a dunk tank, special bowling rates, and karaoke contests, where all
kids participating are winners. We are looking to get our name out in the community
while attempting to promote the sport of bowling to our youth and their families.
Hillcrest Family Bowling Center is a non-smoking establishment, which allows for a
clean atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.
